He is human after all! Watch Rory make you feel a whole lot better about your game
What’s not to love about Rory McIlroy? He’s never afraid to speak his mind, most recently sticking it to the proposed Premier Golf League, and he’s always thinking about other people.
In this instance, the four-time major champion and World No. 1 was on hand to make us mere hackers feel so much better about our game when he chunked not one but TWO shots. In a row!
How often do you see this? (At your course, not from the best player in the world…)

It happened on the par-4 8th in the Arnold Palmer Invitational at Bay Hill and led to a double-bogey 6 that moved McIlroy to 3-over par for the day. But while most of us would crumble, the Northern Irishman bounced back with a birdie at the very next hole.
“The course is tough,” was McIlroy’s fleeting assessment.
But, just for that fleeting moment, he was one of us. Rory, we salute you.
