Where does this rank in the all-time bunker shots?
It’s not every day that you have four 2s on your scorecard but Romain Langasque managed it at the Qatar Masters and one of them was an extraordinary effort. On Thursday the Frenchman wrote on Instagram account that his game was feeling good but that he needed to stay patient. Then all this happened…
Romain Langasque was this close to an ace 💔

First up he lipped out for a hole-in-one at the 9th, a putt he made, which took him to the turn in -3.
Two holes later he found himself in a spot of bother at the 11th having opted for safety from the tee with an iron. Then his foot slipped and he had no real idea where the ball had finished up.. he actually thought it had gone through the back of the green.
Magnifique, @Lancaisse! 🙌

In his post-round interview he talks about ‘the bunker shot on 12’ which, given he birdied it, suggests he holed out again and he added another two to pick up five shots in the space of four holes.
The 2015 Amateur champion, he beat Grant Forrest in the final at Carnoustie, is yet to win on the European Tour but he is very nicely placed after a seven-under 64.

Been watching and playing golf since the early 80s and generally still stuck in this period. Huge fan of all things Robert Rock, less so white belts. Handicap of 8, fragile mind and short game
