Golfer takes a more relaxing approach to losing his clubs
It must be in the ‘how to be a professional golfer’ manual to moan like a spoiled child when a commercial airline loses your clubs.
Some just can’t wait to stick the knife in on social media – berating the airline in question, labelling them the worst and, of course, tagging them in the posts to ensure their predicament is fast-tracked to the front of the queue.
Clubs still not on way from Paris. Established that they are in the black hole known as CDG. @airfrance and @AirFranceUK have been very quiet on Twitter lately so no communication. Looking doubtful I will participate tomorrow @TheOpen qualifier.

So the comedy continues, @British_Airways have managed to now lose 5 suitcases and 2 sets of golf clubs in 10 days!
Decided to bring my only backup set of clubs on this morning's flight to the Nordea Masters in case my other lost set don't arrive and BA have also now lost these! pic.twitter.com/V6QPXzAaBk

Becoming extremely concerned if my golf clubs will turn up for the @RyderCupEurope as I’m flying @British_Airways next week.. this last week I’ve heard so many bags being lost. Bags not being delivered. What has happened to BA. ? https://t.co/N8dPkRBwLe

But Wesley Bryan isn’t your average golfer.
You may remember him celebrating his maiden PGA Tour win at Taco Bell. What a legend.
So when Bryan’s clubs didn’t quite make it to Mexico as early as he did ahead of the Mayakoba Classic, he took a more relaxing approach – literally.
Bags didn’t make it to Mexico with me yesterday…..
Don’t mind me while I have a spa day ?
This is a legitimate thank you tweet to the unnamed airline for losing my bags pic.twitter.com/FgTqAlT3y6

The American spent the day at a spa and actually thanked the airline for the opportunity to unwind instead of beating balls on the practice ground.
Maybe other pros should take a leaf out of Bryan’s book in future and get themselves booked in for a bit of ‘me time’ instead of ranting on Twitter?
Rickie raving over game-improvement iron
Rickie Fowler had a pretty decent week at the Shriners Hospitals Open for Children last week finishing in a tie for fourth.
Like eventual tournament winner Bryson DeChambeau, Fowler had put the new Cobra F9 Speedback driver into play for the first time.
But while DeChambeau and Cobra were quick to heap praise on the new big stick, which hits pro shops next year, Fowler was gushing over a new 4-iron.
And not the sort of iron you’d expect. Fowler plays the super sleek Cobra King MB irons but had a new F9 Speedback 4-iron in play.
Now these irons are definitely aimed at your mid-to-high handicappers but Fowler was reaping the rewards of their high launch and added forgiveness.
“It’s an incredible 4-iron,” Fowler said. “I was hitting it off a lot of tees out here. It may be a sneaky weapon down at Mayakoba.
“It’s a touch longer than my standard 4-iron, but what I was seeing was more the potential of it being a driving iron.
“Going to graphite added a couple miles per hour ball speed with the capability of being able to hit the ball in the air and flight it as well.”
So if one of the best ball strikers in the world is opting for a 4-iron of this nature I suggest you might need to re-evaluate the long irons in your bag?
Open-winning putter brand releases 2019 range
It has been a good year for Bettinardi.
The brand had been gaining recognition on tour thanks to Matt Kuchar but the signing of Francesco Molinari elevated them to another level.
Molinari won The Open at Carnoustie and five points at the Ryder Cup using a Das BBZero model.
Their 2019 line-up includes the brand-new Studio Stock Series and includes the SS2, SS28 Slot Back and SS38 models.
The latest Queen B range includes the re-engineered QB5 and QB6, plus the all-new QB10.
More information can be found on the Bettinardi website.
Trolley wars
It’s that time of year where the two biggest electric trolley brands – Powakaddy and Motocaddy – launch their ‘free bag’ promotions.
They are both fantastic offers and I would urge anyone and everyone to get involved.
Great news – our fantastic free bag promotion is back! ?
Running from today until Christmas Eve, get a FREE PowaKaddy cart bag when purchasing any new PowaKaddy lithium trolley. That's a saving of up to RRP £229.99!

It’s obviously a successful offer as both brands run it EVERY year.
I think of it a bit like the Coca-Cola adverts on TV.
When Powakaddy and Motocaddy are running their free bag promotions, I know it’s nearly Christmas.
So if you’re in the market for a new electric trolley, this seems like the best time of year to make a purchase.
Visit the Powakaddy and Motocaddy websites for more information.
How do Cobra’s new F9 Speedback irons perform?
