All the Gear: Shot Scope gets smaller and sleeker, Motocaddy go hands free

Hannah Holden purrs over the latest Shot Scope, while Motocaddy move into the world of remote control, and Adidas have something for you Manchester United fans

A new week means new gear. Check out the pieces that have caught my eye over the last seven days…

Shot Scope V3

I’ve been keeping this one a secret for a while now so I am super excited to finally be able to talk about the new Shot Scope V3.

I loved the technology in the Shot Scope V2 but it was clear to see the aesthetics weren’t really working for a lot of golfers. Shot Scope have taken this on board, done some tinkering and created a stylish new package.

The new V3 watch is available in five colourways an upgrade on the on standard black and red V2 option. My personal favourites are the maroon red, and teal.

As we saw in the Shot Scope V2, the V3 combines GPS and automatic performance tracking technology.

The GPS offering provides distances to the front, middle and back of greens as well as front and carry distances for every hazard.

Shot Scope V3

This is great but my favourite part is definitely the shot tracking, allowing you to track where you hit all your shots and then gather statistics on every aspect of your game via the Shot Scope app.

But it’s not just the V3 that’s new! Shot Scope have also released the new G3. This is a GPS-only device for those of you who want to dial in your yardages but don’t feel like you need to track any statistics.

I’ve been testing the V3 out over the last few weeks so keep your eyes peeled for my full review later this week.

Available: Now
RRP: £179.99 launch then £209.99 (V3) £149.99 launch then £169.99 (G3)

Cleveland RTX ZipCore wedges

The new RTX ZipCore has a low-density core at the heart of the wedge. This shifts the center of gravity and increases MOI creating more stability both high and low on the club face. The aim is to get more of your shots hitting that sweet spot.

The new UltiZip Grooves are sharper, deeper and closer together for more groove contact to help you generate more spin. The grooves are also heat treated to boost durability of spin performance.

“Cleveland wedges are always just beautiful looking clubs, and this one is no different,” said 2019 Open Champion Shane Lowry. “They’re very traditional and I just love them. You need to be able to trust what your wedges are going to do, and RTX ZipCore does everything I need it to do. I couldn’t ask for anything else in a wedge.”

I have some samples on the way so check back to see my thoughts soon.

Available: September
RRP: £139 (Tour satin/Black satin) £159 (Tour rack raw)

Motocaddy go hands free

The M7 remote is a new hands free trolley offering from Motocaddy and is the eighth model in this year’s compact M-Series range.

This latest hands-free trolley from Motocaddy features an anti-glare LCD screen, plus game-changing remote technological advancements. As with all M-Series models available this year, its integral compact-folding SlimFold system makes it possible to fit into the smallest car boots.

“The M7 REMOTE offers golfers the ultimate in terms of responsive control and uses cutting-edge technology to provide enhanced usability and take remote functionality to a completely new level,” said Marketing Manager Oliver Churcher. “The addition of the M7 REMOTE to our range means that we can now offer something special for everyone in the increasingly popular compact trolley category.”

The M7 remote handset works from up to 50-metres and is fully rechargeable. You can even charge it from the trolley’s built in USB charging port if necessary. It can also be switched into manual mode should you require this.

The wheels are slightly bigger and are anti-skid for optimal stability on all terrains. It also features automatic downhill control, an emergency stop button and a handset lock function so you don’t accidentally set your trolley off.

Adidas launch limited edition Manchester United golf shoes

The Adicross retro is one of Adidas’s main lifestyle golf shoes. This limited edition offering has a durable spikeless outsole for wear-anywhere versatility as well as a waterproof leather upper for those rainy match days.

This collaboration gives fans of the Premier League’s most decorated team another way to support their beloved Red Devils.

The lightest push trolley ever?

Big Max have launched their lightest ever push trolley. The Ti Lite weighs in at just 5.4kg but the high grade aluminium frame still delivers an ultra-stable design.

The adjustable handle allows you to adjust the trolley to your preferred height while adjustable bag brackets accommodate any size golf bag.

Quick release wheels and a simple, quick folding mechanism allows the trolley to be quickly and easily packed into the smallest of spaces.

I also really like the integrated storage compartment and the footbrake. You can add an accessories mount should you need space for anything else.

RRP: £199.99
