The clubs Lowry used to win in Abu DhabiJanuary 19, 2019 Golf Equipment
Check out which clubs the Irishman used to land his first win since 2015
Shane Lowry WITB. The Irishman made it two wins in 2019 for the brand new Callaway Epic Flash driver.
Lowry favours the lower-spinning Sub Zero model which was offering fantastic ball speed and distance in out recent review.
His victory at the HSBC Abu Dhabi Championship follows on from Xander Schauffele’s victory with the Epic Flash at the Tournament of Champions in Hawaii.
Lowry is a Cleveland-Srixon staff player so it contracted to use their ball, irons and wedges.
So he opts for a Callaway driver, TaylorMade fairway woods and an Odyssey putter.
His irons are a combo set of the brand new Srixon Z785 and Z585 irons which we tested in the autumn.
He’s also using the Cleveland RTX-4 wedges which were released around the same time.
It’s no surprise to see Lowry opt for the TaylorMade M4 3-wood which came out on top in our 2018 fairway woods test.
His putter is an Odyssey O-works Red 2-ball which helped him make birdie on his 72nd hole to seal a one-shot victory.
It was his fourth European Tour win and last since the 2015 WGC Bridgestone.
“This win means everything to me,” he said. “I didn’t know if I had it in me today, but I’m proud of the way I hung in there.”
Lowry wears FootJoy Icon shoes with a shamrock printed on the heel.
