FootJoy’s new Floral Print Lisle polo has that sportswear feel. It is lightweight and stretchy with an almost silky texture. Not only does it feel great but it looks great too, with the small floral print design that is offered in four different eye-catching colours.

The Floral Print Lisle polo is also pretty hassle-free as it dries quickly and with minimal creasing!

First impressions

As someone who mainly wears plainer golf tops, I was surprised by just how much I love this subtle floral pattern. I wore the navy and white version, but FootJoy does offer this in three other colours…the hot pink and white colourway looks amazing!

The polo itself is very traditional, with three buttons to fasten at the collar. It is made up of 88% polyester and 12% spandex meaning that it is very lightweight and has a good amount of elasticity. The material isn’t overly thick but feels very soft and silky, having a similar feeling to other types of sportswear.

On course testing

I’ve had the chance to wear this polo quite a few times now, and each time I have really enjoyed wearing it. I don’t often wear patterned polos and so it was nice to receive quite a few compliments from other women at different courses saying that they liked this top.

The FootJoy Floral Print Lisle polo was very comfortable to wear. I wore my usual UK12 in this, which is a medium in the FootJoy sizing. If anything, this polo was a little on the larger side and provided plenty of room. I am not complaining about this at all, as it made it very easy to swing in, especially with the material of the polo being so lightweight and stretchy. It does mean if you prefer something with a tighter fit you might be better going down a size. In terms of sizing, I think it’s a shame that this polo is only offered in sizes XS-XL, which is a UK 8-16.

I’ve worn this polo both with a baselayer under and just on its own, and I never found myself feeling sweaty in it, thanks to FootJoy’s moisture-wicking technology. I know the weather hasn’t gotten too hot yet, but I think, based on some of the warmer days, that this will be great in summer.

When it came to washing this polo, it was quick and easy, thanks to the lightweight fabric. It dried very fast and with next to no creasing, which is great for someone who is always playing golf and needs clothes turned around in the wash fast.

The 19th hole

Despite loving this top on the golf course, I can’t say I would be wearing it anywhere else. I don’t tend to wear polos outside of the golf environment, and this shirt is definitely pretty out there in terms of the pattern so I’ll stick to enjoying it on the fairways, not the streets.
