As I mentioned with my review of the Vistaget core model, Vistaget is an independent new brand focused on delivering a better golf range finding experience through upgraded optics and smarter features. They are a sister to brand to Redtiger and are focused specifically on golf rangefinders. I loved the Redtiger golf rangefinders, as well as the Vistaget core model, and so could not wait to put this golf rangefinder under the microscope in our full Vistaget Golvia Pro Golf Rangefinder review….

First Impressions

The Golvia Pro gives a real feel of quality as you unbox it. The aluminium casing looks great, feels very sturdy and sits in your hand very comfortably. Having tested the core model, I was looking forward to seeing if it performed as well on the course.

On-course testing

The Golvia Pro comes with the same quality carry case as the core model, meaning you can either clip it to your bag or use the magnetic function to attach it to your golf cart or belt attachment.

It also come with the convenient USB-C charger, meaning no need to carry spare batteries.

Once you start using it you see the subtle additions that make it feel premium. The looks and feel are premium and you can tell it is a robust product. The OLED screen is superb and I really liked to adjustable brightness control, that give you four levels of brightness to suit your eye. This makes the lens incredibly clear and allows you to lock on to the target with ease.

Because the screen is so clear, all of the readings are so easy to see. It even came with a fog / drizzle mode that helps you lock on to the target easier in difficult viewing conditions. As with the core model, the slope adjustment is easy to turn on and off for when you flip between practice and tournament mode.

The other useful piece of technology is the triangulation system that you can use. This means that if you don’t have a clear line of sight to the target, you can measure your ball and the pin from a clear line of sight and the Golvia Pro calculates to the direct distance to the flag for you. It takes some getting used to but it is a great addition.

NCG Final Verdict

The Vistaget Golvia Pro is quality. The distances are incredibly accurate and the clever additions make it stand out from a lot of it’s competitors. Superb value for money!
