For a relatively unheard-of brand in the golfing world, Gogogo Sport are making a huge plunge into the market with their line of budget laser rangefinders. I took the new Vpro GS24 out on the course to see how it performed.

First Impressions
Gogogo Sport claims it has taken them nine years to perfect their products, and you can really see why.
For such a low-cost laser, it certainly has a very nice look and feel. The body has been shaped, so it fits easily in your hand and it has a soft outer rubber casing.
Speaking of the casing, it comes with a hard-shell case for protection. This case can be clipped onto your bag too.
The Gogogo Sport laser also has a magnet to the side of the laser, which can be stuck to your clubs or a cart for easy access.
Gogogo Sport Vpro Laser Technology
For a relatively low-cost range finder, it’s certainly well-stocked on tech. The Vpro GS24 has three different modes, which can be altered by using the mode button on the top of the laser.
The first mode is the most basic, offering distance measurement only.
Mode two unlocks many more features. The first being pin seeking technology, where once the laser has located a flag, it will vibrate to notify you. Alongside this, the scan mode means the Vpro GS24 always provides the shortest number that it has scanned. This is a great feature for those whose hands may not be the steadiest and are prone to picking up trees behind the green.
The features of mode 2 don’t stop there. As suggested by the name, this laser has slope-measuring capabilities. A small slope switch on the side allows you to swap in and out of the slope feature.
When in slope mode, the original distance is shown at the top of the lens with the distance including the slope below it and the degree of slope. Whilst this feature is great, it is important to note that this has to be be turned off for the laser to be tournament legal.

As this range finder is labelled as being for golf and hunting, mode 3 measures speed of moving targets and so this isn’t a feature you’d need on the course.
The laser takes 2 AAA batteries which is much more convenient than searching for some of the more obscure size batteries that many other lasers are powered by.
Gogogo Sport Vpro Rangefinder Review
I really enjoyed taking the Gogogo Sport VPro laser out onto the course and found it to be just as accurate as my current laser. The lens was very clear, with the option of altering up to 6x magnification.
It has a well-shaped body that is easy to hold and a clear lens, making it exceptionally easy to see your yardage.
The slope functionality is a huge win here and the ability to turn this on and off makes this a very versatile rangefinder for golf.
The only criticism I would give is that the flag-locking function is limited in distance. The function supports up to 150 yards to a flagpole, and with an unfolded flag, 250 yards. This may be an issue for better players who rely on consistently accurate distances from long ranges.
Overall, if you’re looking for an easy-to-use slope-measuring laser which won’t break the bank this is a great option for you.
