Cobra MIM Putters: Everything you need to know

Cobra are back for 2026 with their latest putter range that promises better consistency, a premium feel and plenty of forgiveness. But, how do they achieve this?

Out with the old and in with the new. Cobra has replaced their extensive Vintage putter line-up with the all-new MIM putters.

The Vintage putter range was built to offer every golfer a putter to suite their style, no matter if you are a golfer that putts straight back and straight through, or with a severe arc.

Now the MIM putters have been introduced to up the performance. They are made to offer a more consistent roll, improved forgiveness and refined detailing across the different models.

Here’s a closer look at Cobra’s latest putter line-up…

Cobra MIM Putters: The Technology

MIM stands for meta injection moulding. This is a manufacturing process Cobra uses to construct these new putters.

By injecting powdered metal into moulds and sintering it at high temperatures, Cobra can produce putter heads with exceptional dimensional accuracy.

Why does that matter? In short, consistency. Every head comes out closer to the intended design, meaning loft, lie and weighting are more uniform from one putter to the next.

Each MIM putter also features Cobra’s next-generation Pebax face insert, which has been reworked to be firmer and more durable than previous versions.

Pebax is a lightweight thermoplastic elastomer, and its lower mass allows Cobra to reposition weight elsewhere in the head.

This helps boost MOI (moment of inertia), improving stability and forgiveness on off-centre strikes, while still delivering a soft, premium feel at impact.

Elsewhere, Cobra has once again partnered with LA Golf. It’s a partnership that incorporates its Descending Loft Technology into every MIM putter.

Rather than using a single loft across the face, DLT features four descending lofts from top to bottom. These lofts include 4°, 3°, 2° and 1°.

This has been introduced as a common deficiency a lot of golfers face on the greens is that they have a tendency to do things like adding loft or de-lofting the putter at impact.

The aim is more consistent launch conditions and a smoother, end-over-end roll, regardless of how the golfer delivers the putter.
