When I think of putters one brand always springs to mind first; Scotty Cameron. They have been seen as one of the premier putters brands for generations. There is no denying their quality, especially as so many of the best players in the world use their putters every week on tour.

Scotty Cameron offers a range of both blade and mallet putters. Recently, the brand has taken a bold leap into the next wave of putters, which are designed to have low amounts of torque. Both low torque and zero torque putters have grown in popularity increasingly over the last few years, and now Scotty Cameron have thrown the hat in the ring with some offerings of their own.
If a more traditional putter is what you are after, then fear not. Scotty Cameron’s Studio Style Newport putter offers the perfect alternative and that trademark Scotty styling we have all grown to love.
So, check out some of the best Scotty Cameron putters this year below…
Best Scotty Cameron Putters
Scotty Cameron Phantom 11R OC PutterÂ

At first glance, the Phantom 11R OC feels unmistakably Scotty Cameron. It’s sleek, premium, and engineered with purpose. The black shaft, matching Matador grip, and familiar Phantom look all look top class. Despite its cutting-edge low-torque design, this still looks and feels like a Scotty rather than a science project.
On the greens, the Phantom 11R OC feels incredibly solid. The chain-link milling helps to deliver a familiar and consistent ball speed. This also helps to retain the Cameron feel even in this new low-torque world. Unlike many other low-torque models, which I think can sometimes feel a little dead off the face, this one rolls the ball with the pace you’d expect from a traditional Scotty.
Pace control is a clear strength. I like this approach from Scotty Cameron as I think some of the other zero torque brands have focussed too much on the face, face control and start line. There is more to putting than just how open your putter face is.
PROS
- Excellent pace control
- A more natural set-up than other zero-torque putters
- Has that Scotty Cameron feel
CONS
- It won’t suit every golfer

Scotty Cameron Studio Style Fastback OC PutterÂ

Right away, distance control feels spot-on. Unlike some other low or zero-torque models, the ball doesn’t come off dead. The pace is familiar and predictable, which is essential for consistent lag putting.
The heavier head adds a pleasing sense of momentum through the stroke, yet I never found it to be cumbersome. There’s an effortless quality to the strike. The putter felt like it was doing the work for me.
It is clear that Scotty Cameron didn’t waste the time they took to enter the low-torque market. The Studio Style Fastback OC putter bridges the gap between modern stability and classic feel, incredibly well.Â
I think this was a real gap in what was missing from low-torque putters already on the market. Some of them feel too clunky. But not this one. It offers the improved face control of a low-torque design without sacrificing pace feedback, touch, or looks.
PROS
- Exceptional feel
- Consistent pace off the face
- Classic Scotty Cameron design
CONS
- Premium Price

Scotty Cameron Studio Style Newport Putter ReviewÂ

From the moment I set my eyes on the Studio Style Newport, I knew it was something special. With a gold-coloured carbon steel face insert, which I thought looked visually sleek and undeniably premium, it felt almost like the putter equivalent of a fine sports car.
What really stood out to me when I tested the Newport is how it encourages a more aggressive stroke without the fear of the ball jumping off the putter face uncontrollably. This allows for confident speed control, which can be argued is the most important skill in putting. The carbon insert and unique milling deliver a superbly dampened yet lively response, ensuring you never feel the need to hold back.
Whether you’re a longtime Scotty Cameron loyalist or someone looking for their first blade putter, the Studio Style Newport is a real standout. With unmatched feel, meticulous craftsmanship, and a host of head options tailored to your stroke, it solidifies its place at the top of the putter hierarchy.
PROS
- Outstanding feel
- Looks fantastic
- A controlled roll and encourages aggressive puttingÂ
- Remarkable consistency
CONS
- Premium price tag
