Purring power

The trolley purrs around the course but has superb power. Walking to the first tee I kept it in manual mode so that I didn’t embarrass myself in front of the members but I couldn’t wait to try out the remote mode.

Remote Control

Having hit a good drive down the 1^st I quickly reached for the compact and lightweight remote. In keeping with the rest of the trolley, it was very intuitive and once I got used to the sensitivity of it I found myself walking down the fairways in a relaxed and carefree state.

Along the flat, expanse the trolley worked brilliantly and I had the most relaxed round I’ve ever had. It’s very liberating walking down the fairway without having to carry, push or manually guide your bag.

Brakes

Don’t worry if you don’t trust yourself to steer it via the remote because the brakes are what you’d expect on a Formula 1 car, along with an anti-tip rear wheel.

Additional features

The trolley has all the additional features you would expect, allowing you to keep your devices charged with the USB charging port, a screen that delivers all your messages from your phone and plenty of space to add accessories on the station provided. Don’t worry if you are not interested in getting your messages through, this can be turned off.

It’s fair to say that I was massively impressed, felling very smug as I guided the trolley to the next tee as I waited for my turn to putt.

Performance on steeper slopes

With this fantastic experience behind me, I decided to test the trolley on the steep undulations of my boyhood course, Dewsbury District GC. This is where the trolley was not quite the performance I had first experienced. In remote mode, I found that it was difficult to control across steeper slopes and found that I had to use it as a traditional electric trolley on these holes. The performance was still excellent and the features were equally as impressive. I guess you don’t take a Rolls-Royce on a drive where a Land Rover is more appropriate!
