It’s Masters week and Masters week means Masters equipment. It usually just involves lots of brands making their gear available in green…
From now until we get underway at Augusta on Thursday, I’ll be keeping this column updated with all the goings-on gear-wise at golf’s opening major.
Masters equipment: Frank goes front and centre
Tiger Woods’ pre-Masters press conference will be remembered less for what he said and more for what he was wearing.

The new shirt, dubbed simply “The Nike Polo”, features Frank, Woods’ tiger-shaped driver headcover that took on a personality of its own in the ’90s thanks to a series of Nike adverts that brought it to life.
Oh go on then…
Tiger was pretty coy about it in the presser, but suffice to say this isn’t the last we’ve seen of Frank.
The shirts are available now from the Nike website and will set you back around £50.
Masters equipment: Woods’ new sticks
In equally exciting news, if you’ve always dreamed of hitting the fairways with a set of clubs just like Tiger then you’re in luck, because TaylorMade’s new P7TW irons have been released.
The irons have been co-designed by the man himself and will be made available to the public. As he said:
Consumers have never had the opportunity to play irons like mine… until now.
Tiger’s irons were hundreds of hours in the making with TaylorMade developing nine designs, taking years to create the perfect set for the 14-time major champion.

Rather than crafting the irons as a set, TaylorMade have individually designed each clubhead so each iron meets the highest performance demands.
