Cobra has finally entered the ever growing mini driver market with the launch of the Cobra King Tec mini driver.

There has been a real shift in what a lot of golfers hit off the tee. Most seem to be prioritising accuracy over distance hence the surge in the number of golfers putting a mini driver in their bags.
Cobra has developed this to meet those exact needs. With a compact head shape and a shorter shaft this is very much meant to be a versatile golf club that offers a tighter dispersion than a traditional driver.

Cobra King Tec Mini Driver: The Technology
At the core of the King Tec Mini Driver is Cobra’s Forged Titanium PWRSHELL Face, the same face technology used in Cobra’s top drivers and fairway woods.
It is designed to deliver explosive ball speeds across the club face. This is to help maintain distance levels even when the contact isn’t perfect.
Cobra’s H.O.T. Face uses machine-learning-designed variable thickness patterns to maximise speed across multiple strike locations. Cobra believe the result is more consistent ball speed and distance from common miss areas.
Additionally, Cobra has equipped their mini driver with a multi-layer Carbon Crown. This has allowed them to reposition weight Low in the club head for a higher launch.
The King Tec Mini Driver also features an 811 titanium body. Integrated moveable weighting allows every golfer to fine tune their set up to suit their game. This helps to dial in launch and direction control.
A big part of Cobra’s success with their metal woods last year was their new FutureFit33 hosel system. This made them the most fittable drivers and fairway woods yet.
This mini driver is equipped with this hosel tech. It offers 33 loft, lie, and face-angle combinations.

The King Tec Mini Driver is designed for a broad spectrum of golfers. Better players can use it as a strategic tee option on narrow holes, while mid-handicap golfers can benefit from the improved contact and launch characteristics.
It is also well suited for players who struggle to launch a 3-wood but want more speed and distance than a hybrid can provide.
This doesn’t have to be used as a direct replacement for a driver or any other metal wood you may have in your bag for that matter. It is intended to fill a real performance gap that many golfers experience at the top of the bag.Â
