TaylorMade SIM2 fairway woods: First impressions
Again these are just great looking golf clubs from TaylorMade.
I really like the way there is a clear distinction on the sole between the different models but then we have an almost identical styling on the crown.
TaylorMade SIM2 fairway woods: The line-up
As with the drivers we have three offerings in the fairway wood line-up. The range features progressive face sizes for increasing forgiveness.
TaylorMade SIM2 Ti: This is a smaller more compact 170cc head. It has a super low CG which is directly behind the sweet spot to deliver maximum distance with mid launch and low spin. This is thanks to the 8-gram steel sole weight. It also has a super strong Zatech titanium face.
TaylorMade SIM2 Max: This is a slightly larger 190cc club head but this time features a C300 steel face. It is designed to launch slightly higher than the Ti model and also be more forgiving.
TaylorMade SIM2 Max D: Again the Max D offers a draw bias flight. It is also the biggest clubhead in the range at 195cc.
TaylorMade SIM2 fairway woods: The technology
SIM2 is designed to be more forgiving than the previous SIM offering.
The V steel sole has been redesigned with more weight brought backwards lowering the CG and increasing MOI and forgiveness.
The sole also improves turf interaction and playability from numerous different lies.
