Galvin Green Andres review: First Impressions
A classic looking Galvin Green waterproof, I couldn’t wait to get this out on the course.
Galvin Green Andres review: The Technology
This is a full-zip jacket in the Gore-Tex Paclite waterproof range, it is popular due to its lightweight nature and its breathability. The Gore-Tex membrane contains billions of microscopic pores, 20,000 times smaller than a water droplet to prevent water penetrating the membrane. These pores however are larger than a water vapour molecule allowing perspiration to escape from the inside.
The waterproof Gore-Tex fabric has special stretch properties to provide the flexibility needed by golfers in their swing. The side seam has also been relocated for optimal comfort. It is available in eight colourways so you can find the right style for you.
The styling incorporates chest tabs and elasticated cuffs for a personalised fit as well as a chest pocket for carrying accessories.
Galvin Green Andres review: NCG Verdict
I’ve had it out for a number of rounds now and have enjoyed wearing it. It seems to be in that middle ground of not too light but not too bulky and still performs well even though you know you’re wearing a jacket. It was a little wide but after adjusting the straps on the chest, I found a fit that was good for me.
It looks like a Galvin Green jacket which is in its favour as they rarely design a poor looking jacket and I can’t complain with the comfort. The Andres doesn’t have front pockets which I prefer to have but other than that it ticks all the boxes. It’s in the higher price bracket but with Galvin Green you know you’re getting quality.
