What apparel has Ping released for this year’s Solheim Cup?

This week, Europe are set to take on the United States in an attempt to claim their fourth Solheim Cup in a row.

The Europeans were kitted out in Ping gear for their 2021 and 2023 successes. They will be hoping that it’s a similar fate at the Robert Trent Jones Golf Club, as the Americans play host.

Ping say they have worked closely with Team Captain, Suzann Pettersen, to create sets of uniforms to help inspire the athletes to victory.

Ping Solheim Cup Clothing: Day One

The opening day outfit provides a classic European feel and look to what is commonly associated with European teams at match play events. They do say, first impressions count.

It looks like Ping have taken that saying seriously. To start the week right, Team Europe will be wearing a classic-looking polo, with a familiar colour way scheme. The polo has a white base, whilst incorporating the other synonymous colours of Europe, blue and yellow.

As well as retaining its vintage look, the polo also acts as a double with its performance benefits. It’s all good-looking the part, but the twelve members of Team Europe need to be able to play like it.

Ping have included a sporty stripe design on the sleeves of the polo and mid-layer jacket, which incorporate the yellow, European stars.

In addition to the ever-present polo and mid-layer jackets, Ping have also added a hooded jacket to their Solheim Cup line-up. Something may be of more use towards the end of the week, with showers expected during Singles’ Day. However, if you are going to the event don’t worry too much, temperatures will still be up there, peaking at 28°C during the week.

Day Two Clothing

For the second day of play, Europe will be wearing a similarly styled polo just with a different scheme of colours. The polo has a blue base with white sleeves.

Again Ping have looked to enhance the sporting profile of Saturday’s clothing, with the incorporation of the stars of the sleeves. On a day that may define Team Europe’s chances of retaining the Solheim Cup, Ping say they have delivered performance-driven apparel.

In terms of headwear, as is standard, caps are provided as well as bucket hat, that is on offer for Europeans.

Day Three Clothing

Sunday singles. Always a big occasion in the golfing calendar, whether it’s Ryder Cup or Solheim Cup. Team Europe will hope to be right there and in with a chance if not a lead, as some of the best golfers, on either side of the Atlantic, go head-to-head.

Ping are confident that the Sunday uniform showcases a winning look. The polo and vest will take on a more outlandish design and style, with the inclusion of a big and bold European star across the back of the apparel.

The vibe of the clothes is to represent a modern and sleek style. Whatever the look may be, Europeans will be hoping for one thing, and that it radiates the image of victory.

A bit of a late bloomer to the game of golf, Max fell in love with the sport when he attended Saturday coaching sessions down at his local golf club after being inspired by friends and family members.

Max has remained a member of Eden Golf Club in Carlisle for a number of years now as he looks to get his handicap down into single figures. Most of his golfing career has been spent battling a permanent slice off the tee, which has led to some ugly rounds.

Having studied at the University of Sunderland, Max is starting out his dream career in sports journalism. During his time at university, he picked up valuable work experience at Reach PLC, BBC Radio Cumbria and GiveMeSport, whilst also getting work published in the Teesside Live. He also spent time working at a local weekly newspaper, Eskdale and Liddesdale Advertiser, as a general news reporter partially covering some local sport just north of the border in Langholm.

Max has just started his journey with the NCG working as the assistant equipment editor. He looks forwarded to reviewing the latest golf equipment, taking up an interest in reviews when buying his first golf club, a Cleveland RTX wedge.

With his bag not going under too many changes throughout the last few years, Max carries an M3 driver, Titleist GT3 Fairway Wood, M2 hybrid, a set of M2 irons, Callaway Jaws wedges and a TaylorMade Spider putter. And yes, Max is a bit of a self-proclaimed TaylorMade fan boy.
