The most trusted rangefinder in golf? The Pros have spoken

The margins in professional golf are razor thin, but one brand continues to stand out. Bushnell’s dominance on Tour tells its own story.

When it comes to dialling in yardages under pressure, the world’s best players aren’t leaving much to chance, and the latest data shows they’re putting their trust firmly in one brand.

That brand is Bushnell. They are arguably the biggest hitter in the golf technology space. For many golfers it is synonymous with quality rangefinders, GPSs and lasers.

This looks to be the case when it comes to the pros as well.

According to the latest findings from the Darrell Survey, an astonishing 98.4% of players at The Players Championship relied on a Bushnell Golf rangefinder.

Out of 123 players surveyed, 121 had a Bushnell device in hand. This isn’t just a one-off, either, it marks yet another year of dominance on the PGA Tour, where Bushnell has held the No.1 spot every season since 2006.

Why the pros keep choosing Bushnell

In a game where precision is everything, consistency can be hard to come by. But if you are to have it in any part of your game then it’s best to be with a rangefinder or a GPS in hand.

Bushnell’s continued presence in the bags of elite players suggests its technology delivers exactly that. We as golfers, demand our technology to deliver reliable, accurate yardages in all conditions, even when our game can’t.

I’d imagine pros are no different. In fact, with all there is to play for, its probably not unfair to assume they place more importance on such things.

Although rangefinders aren’t permitted during competitive rounds on the PGA Tour, they are allowed to be used during practice rounds.

This is a chance to collect data and hone in on yardages ahead of the start of the tournament. It’s an important part of a players’ preparation.

There picking the right rangefinder is imperative. Bushnell points to its focus on performance-driven innovation as a key factor in their popularity.
