The margins in professional golf are razor thin, but one brand continues to stand out. Bushnell’s dominance on Tour tells its own story.

When it comes to dialling in yardages under pressure, the world’s best players aren’t leaving much to chance, and the latest data shows they’re putting their trust firmly in one brand.

That brand is Bushnell. They are arguably the biggest hitter in the golf technology space. For many golfers it is synonymous with quality rangefinders, GPSs and lasers.

This looks to be the case when it comes to the pros as well.

According to the latest findings from the Darrell Survey, an astonishing 98.4% of players at The Players Championship relied on a Bushnell Golf rangefinder.

Out of 123 players surveyed, 121 had a Bushnell device in hand. This isn’t just a one-off, either, it marks yet another year of dominance on the PGA Tour, where Bushnell has held the No.1 spot every season since 2006.

Why the pros keep choosing Bushnell

In a game where precision is everything, consistency can be hard to come by. But if you are to have it in any part of your game then it’s best to be with a rangefinder or a GPS in hand.

Bushnell’s continued presence in the bags of elite players suggests its technology delivers exactly that. We as golfers, demand our technology to deliver reliable, accurate yardages in all conditions, even when our game can’t.

I’d imagine pros are no different. In fact, with all there is to play for, its probably not unfair to assume they place more importance on such things.

Although rangefinders aren’t permitted during competitive rounds on the PGA Tour, they are allowed to be used during practice rounds.

This is a chance to collect data and hone in on yardages ahead of the start of the tournament. It’s an important part of a players’ preparation.

There picking the right rangefinder is imperative. Bushnell points to its focus on performance-driven innovation as a key factor in their popularity.

From slope-adjusted distances to advanced targeting systems, Bushnell devices are designed to remove doubt and speed up decision-making – two crucial elements at the highest level of the game.

The NCG stamp of approval

It’s not just the best players in the world to be swooned by the quality of Bushnell, we have been too.

Having tested some of the marquee offerings over the last 12 months, it is no mystery to us why they are the most used on the PGA Tour.

The Bushnell Tour Hybrid is one of their premium rangefinders. It is a lovely, compact size and much lighter than what these devices used to be.

Think of it as a great laser first and foremost.

Sometimes with a laser you wonder what you get by choosing one of the established premium brands. After all, a yardage is a yardage.

Well, consider yourself to assured that this is a fun gadget to use. It’s quick and its reassuringly crisp at finding the flag.

Don’t fret if you’re not a technology whizkid as it only takes a couple of moments to set up and then you are all set for play.

It is a brilliant option that provides the ultimate solution to every serious golfer’s laser and GPS needs.

The brand offer a range of different rangefinder styles, sizes and price tags. For those who prefer something a little more lowkey and not as pricey, the Bushnell A1-Slope Golf Laser is one that really caught our eye.

It is so good that it doesn’t make you question why did Bushnell make this smaller but rather why are rangefinders usually the size they are?

Fear not, it still has all the functionality of a full-size rangefinder.

The measurements come up instantly and the slope function is both sensitive and accurate.
