The PGA Tour, Ladies European Tour, DP World Tour and Asian Tour are all in action this week, but who would we put our money on?

This week’s golf features the PGA Tour and Ladies European Tour among other events, but who are our betting tips for glory?

The PGA Tour‘s offering this week is the John Deere Classic – where Austrian Sepp Straka put his stamp on a place in the European Ryder Cup side.

The Aramco Team Series returns to London this week as well. The Centurion Club will once again play host, but Nelly Korda will not defend her title after being bitten by a dog last week.

Who will win these tournaments? Matt Coles takes a look at this week’s action…

John Deere Classic golf betting tips and preview

Venue: TPC Deere Run, Silvis, Illinois, United States
Date: July 4-7, 2024
Course stats: Par 71, 7,258 yards
Defending champion: Sepp Straka (-21)

Aaron Rai @ 20/1 with bet365

Aaron Rai WITB

The Englishman was in contention on Sunday at the Rocket Mortgage Classic, as he aimed to win on the PGA Tour for the first time. Rai narrowly missed out, finishing a shot back of eventual winner Cameron Davis, but if he brings that form into this week, then why can’t he be up there at TPC Deere Run? He is among the favourites at 20/1 to win this week in Illinois.

Denny McCarthy @ 22/1 with bet365

It surely cannot be long before Denny McCarthy wins on the PGA Tour for the first time. Could this be the week? The American has two top-six finishes so far this season, including a runners-up finish at the Valero Texas Open where he lost out to Akshay Bhatia in a playoff. TPC Deere Run could be the place that McCarthy finally breaks that duck, and at 22/1, he’s good money to do so.

Defending champion Sepp Straka is one of the favourites at 16/1 to retain his John Deere Classic crown.

Aramco Team Series – London golf betting tips and preview

Venue: The Centurion Club, St Albans, England
Date: July 3-5, 2024
Course stats: Par 72, 6,756 yards
Defending champion: Nelly Korda (-13)

Charley Hull @ 11/2 with bet365

Incredibly, Charley Hull has only one victory in the Aramco Team Series. But her form in the ATS is sublime, with five top-three finishes along with that victory. Could she finally grab that big win on home soil? She is the favourite for the tournament, unsurprisingly, at 11/2.

Alison Lee @ 16/1 with bet365

Another woman that seems to love the Aramco Team Series is Alison Lee. She is one of just two women to have won multiple times in the series, and her victory in Riyadh last season was a record-breaking one. Can Lee become the first three-time winner in the Aramco Team Series? 16/1 says she does…

What else is going on in the world of golf this week?

There is plenty of other action going on this week with both the DP World Tour and the Asian Tour hosting tournaments.

The DP World Tour continues its European run with the BMW International Open in Germany, while the Asian Tour holds the next International Series event in Morocco.

Who will take victory at these tournaments? Check out our picks for success below…

Martin Kaymer @ 80/1 to win the BMW International Open with bet365

Which European name is about to join Martin Kaymer's LIV Golf team?

Martin Kaymer is back on home soil this week for the BMW International Open, and back playing on the DP World Tour once again. The German did not fare well in Nashville, but prior to that, he had top-20 finishes in each of his last three LIV Golf League tournaments. Can the home fans spur him on to an emotional victory? He is very much an outsider at 80/1, but why not go for the underdog?

Patrick Reed and Ryan Fox are the two favourites to take home the title from Germany this week. The American is 14/1, while Fox is 18/1.

John Catlin @ 16/1 to win the International Series Morocco with bet365

Catlin has stood in for Charles Howell III in the last two events in the LIV Golf League, and thanks to T24 and T7 results, he is actually in the top 40 in the season standings. He led after two rounds in Nashville, but just tailed away on Sunday afternoon. He is in good form, and the best player in the field in Morocco this week. Expect the American to be right up there again this week.

Matt Coles

Mention a European country, and Matt will tell you which resorts make the National Club Golfer Top 100s: European Resorts list. He might even throw in who designed the golf course and how many rooms the hotel has got at each one…

Matt got into the game of golf from a young age, following his old man to the local golf club. He fell for the sport, and now can’t seem to go a day without thinking about how to improve his game (Thanks Dad!). Matt has been a member of Howley Hall GC in Leeds since 2020, and is just about managing to maintain a single-figure handicap. He likes to remind people that he once broke 75, but won’t tell people that it was on a shortened course during the winter.

He moved to Leeds after graduating from the University of Central Lancashire with a First Class Honours degree in Sports Journalism. Matt joined NCG after almost five years travelling the world with the Professional Squash Association, working on events in all four corners of the globe.

Matt currently plays a Cobra King LTDx driver and RadSpeed 3-wood. TaylorMade monopolise the rest of his bag, with a SIM UDI, M5 irons and both Milled Grind and HI-TOE wedges, along with a Monza Redline putter. He uses a Vice Pro Plus golf ball, because he’s a bit different…

Away from golf, Matt is a Manchester United fan, and a keen runner, having ran the Rob Burrow Leeds Marathon (his first and possibly last), in May 2023.
