Key benefits and downsides

Key benefitsDownsides
Comfort – Exceptional comfort that remains noticeable even after a full round, making them one of the most comfortable spiked golf shoes I’ve tested. Wide toe box – The shoes have a bulky, square-toed appearance that may not appeal to everyone’s style preference.
Stability – Stable fit with a wider toe box and secure heel support, providing confidence on uneven lies and bunkers.
Breathability – Good moisture control, keeping feet dry and comfortable even during hot, dry days.

First Impressions

Out of the box the shoes looked cumbersome and a bit too square toed compared to other golf shoes I had worn. The soul looked modern with plenty of grip. They intrigued me and was keen to see if I had judged them too quickly, based solely on the looks.

How I undertook the review

I first wore the shoes on the driving range and then played 18 holes on a hot day.

The weather conditions were predominantly dry and warm.

What I found

What do they say, don’t judge a book by its cover! I was immediately impressed with the comfort and they looked good, when worn with my golf gear which included shorts.

The immediate sensation of comfort on the driving range was something I have never felt before in a golf shoe.

Out on the course the comfort was out of this world. In the dry warm conditions I found that my feet remained comfortable with no moisture build up.

There is no doubt these shoes are supremely comfortable. I cannot recall testing a more comfortable spiked shoe. The fit was perfect for me and there was no need to size up or down.

The slightly wider toe box grew on me and by the end I was a convert to the feel and look.

The shoe was stable, offering strong torsional rigidity, and my heel felt securely locked in place. No problems in bunkers and uneven lies.

I didn’t feel the need to immediately remove my shoes after the round due to the comfort.

NCG Final Say

These are a first-rate pair of shoes if you are comfortable with the toe box look. They offer strong performance, look good and are extremely comfortable. They get top marks from me but recognise that for some they might prefer a different look.

For those struggling to find a slightly wider golf shoe then these could the solution you are looking for.
