There was once a time where women golfers would struggle to find much range of golf clothing, but those days are long gone, thankfully. Nothing showcases that quite like a giant of sportswear in Under Armour producing a selection of high quality winter gear.
Under Armour have orchestrated quite the grip hold on golf wear, in particular golf shoes. Their collaborations with Jordan Speith and Emily Pedersen over the past decade has put them firmly in spotlight as one of the most trusted golf brands.

Under Armour Drive Rain Pant

These rain pants are a total winner for wet and windy days. The fit is excellent — a perfect length with a nice wide cut that easily layers over slimmer or looser trousers without feeling bulky. I love the velcro tabs at the waist, which make it easy to adjust the fit depending on what you’re wearing underneath. The long zips up the legs are another standout feature, making them simple to pull on and off over golf shoes or thicker trousers.
I even wore them during a 12-mile windy and rainy coastal walk, and I was completely dry underneath — impressive performance and great value at their price point. They’re lightweight, comfortable, and practical. It was nice to have them in navy as my waterproof trousers have always been black, so it made a great alternative.
A must-have for anyone who refuses to let the weather spoil their round.
PROS
- Adjustable waistband
- Easy on / off zips
- 100% waterproof
CONS
- If you were being really picky you could say there was no shape on the bum area, but they’re waterproofs so this isn’t expected
RRP: £100.00
Sizes: XS-XL
Colours: Midnight Navy / White

Under Armour Drive Rain Jacket

This jacket is an absolute essential for wet and windy rounds. I tested it in heavy rain on a couple of rounds, and even on a 12-mile coastal walk — I stayed completely dry throughout. It’s fully waterproof, wind-resistant, and lightweight, so it’s comfortable to wear all day without feeling restrictive. The fit is excellent, with a flattering shape, nice long sleeves, and great coverage at the back and hips to keep rain and cold out.

I think it performs just as well on the course as it does off it and pairs perfectly with the matching Drive Rain Pants for full protection. My only small criticism is the plain colour — a subtle contrast stripe or detail would have been a nice touch. Otherwise, I absolutely love it. Great quality, great value, and definitely a jacket I’ll be reaching for whenever the forecast looks grim.
PROS
- Fully waterproof
- Flattering, practical fit
- Excellent wind protection
CONS
- Plain colourway
RRP: £140.00
Sizes: XS-XXL
Colours: Midnight Navy / Metallic Silver

Under Armour Drive Midlayer Pullover

I absolutely loved this jumper. I’ll admit, the slightly cropped design gave me pause at first, but I’m officially a convert. The fit is slightly oversized, giving it a relaxed, modern feel that still looks smart on the course. The super-soft, double-knit spacer fabric feels luxurious, with just the right amount of stretch to move freely through every swing. It’s lightweight yet warm, and the material says it wicks away sweat quickly, whilst not needed during my autumn round, it could be ideal for those changeable golf days.
The half-zip front makes layering easy, and the ribbed panels on the shoulders add a nice touch of texture and style. I did miss having pockets, but they’d probably have spoiled the clean design, so it’s a fair trade-off. I had compliments all day, and the colour is perfect. It’s one of those pieces you can wear straight from the course to meet friends — sporty, modern, and effortlessly chic.
PROS
- Stylish
- Versatile
- Price
CONS
- If I had to be picky, no pockets

Sizes: XXS-XXL
Colours: Blue & Black

Under Armour Halftime Cable Knit Hat

I was really impressed with the quality and look of this beanie. I usually lean towards bobble hats as they tend to suit my face shape better, but this one was a very pleasant surprise. The design has a slightly raised section, so it doesn’t sit too snugly on the head; a small detail that makes it flattering and comfortable to wear.
I feel like a cable knit is a timeless classic, so it should last for many winters without dating. The soft fleece lining kept me wonderfully warm without feeling bulky.
I also love how kind the fleece was to my hair; my straight hair stayed smooth and bump-free after wearing it.
The neutral cream shade goes with just about everything, making it a perfect hat to have in your bag just in case the temperature drops.
Overall it feels high-quality and classy – plus it’s such a classic design that it works off the golf course too!
PROS
- Versatility
- Classic cable knit design
- Kind to hair
CONS
- No pom pom
RRP: £27.00
Sizes: OSFM
Colours: Black / Castlerock, Stone / Khaki Base, Serpentine / Jasper Blue

Under Armour Cart Mitts

I’m not the biggest user of golf mitts in the world, may be to do with my fair weather golfer attitude. But I was pleasantly surprised by these Under Armour mitts and the lightness of them.
The water-resistant shelling is also massive plus. Having a set of mitts they you’re are comfortable knowing they will keep your hands warm and dry during windy and rainy round is invaluable. That trust is priceless, and these mitts certainly had my trust.
The only problem I had with these Under Armour was that they were a fairly loose fit, I would recommend sizing down. I’m normally a large and I found they were particularly big and for the colder weather I’d prefer them to be a bit tighter for insulation. That’s purely a personal preference.

However, they are oversized mitts – easy layering over golf gloves.
Overall, they were useful.
PROS:
- Storm wind and water-resistant
- Easy to get on and off
- Warm and comfortable
CONS:
- Not as thick as some others
RRP: £30
Sizes: S-M / L-XL
Colours: Black

Under Armour Drive Mittens

I’m not saying I suffer from poor circulation, but it doesn’t take the mercury dropping too much for me to look like I’ve just climbed Everest and several digits are in danger of going gangrenous.
Under Armour’s Drive Mittens could the answer to my prayers. Insulated gloves often just aren’t enough when it gets really chilly, but golf mittens – in my experience – often look and feel like boxing gloves and can be a chew to get on and off.
The compact fit of these mitts is superb – particularly when you need to stow them – the fleece interior lining is genuinely warm.
They grip well, thanks to coating on the tips, and they are very, very good when it rains. Yes, there are cheaper options out there, but you won’t be disappointed here.
PROS:
- Nice compact fit
- Very warm
- Superb in poor weather
CONS:
- There are cheaper options out there
RRP: £39
Sizes: S-M / L-XL
Colours: Black
