Best Golf Polos 2025

Mizuno Melange Long Sleeve Polo

National Club Golfer and National Club Golfer magazine

I am a big fan of long sleeved polos and its nice to see one in the Mizuno range. The Melange is made from 90% polyester (PES) and 10% Elastane (EL). The shirt is thin, stretchy and very comfortable. You could either wear this on its own on a summer evening. Alternatively its great for layering in winter. It comes in 4 colours with the Mizuno logo on the collar. Unusually for a golf shirt it has a breast pocket on the left.

PROS:

  • Long sleeves
  • Comfortable and stretchy
  • Breast pocket

CONS:

  • None

RRP: £60

Sizes: S, M, L, XL, XXL

Mizuno Contrast Polo

4 star review

The Mizuno contrast polo offers a smart looking and great performing golf shirt. I love the 2 colours contrasting. The shirt is made from 2 different materials. The cheat and back are the same material and colour. It is a slightly textured man-made material which is very stretchy. The main front part contrasts with a more standard type of material and is a different colour. It is extremely comfortable and the contrasting materials look great but also perform well giving a huge amount of stretch and freedom. There are 3 different colour combinations. I tried the burgundy and black.

PROS:

  • Great looks
  • Comfortable
  • Stretchy

CONS:

  • None

Puma Pure Love Birdies Golf Polo X

4 star review
best golf polos

Reviewed by Matt Chivers

The Pure Love Birdies Golf Polo is superb, it really is. I am usually very boring and bland when it comes to golf clothes.

I usually wear navy blue or dark-coloured chinos and my own polo shirts – so no golf clothes. But this polo is excellent and what I like the most about it is the feel.

It doesn’t feel like you have anything on your body. This polo is very light and soft which can only help the freedom and movement of your swing.

The size was a perfect fit. I wanted a large and the fit didn’t disappoint, so there should be no deliberation over what size you choose. I could understand if some golfers didn’t like the design, it might be a bit too much for them. But like me, people will come around to this polo.

It feels great and looks great. This is a reasonably priced polo too, when compared to many market rivals.

PROS:

  • The feel is soft and light
  • The design is great

CONS:

  • The design might be less popular to some

Sizes: S-2XL

Puma Pique Borrego Golf Polo X

4 star review
best golf polos

Reviewed by Matt Chivers

Now then, you cannot blame Puma for creativity for the Pique Borrego Golf Polo which I opened in the Deep Navy-Silver Sky edition.

I am usually appalled by this type of design in golf clothing. It really isn’t me and it might not be you. But this is a very light golf polo shirt which, much like many other Puma polo shirts, you can barely feel once it’s on.

There is no lacking in comfort and quality with this polo. The colour scheme is purely down to your preference. Are you prepared to go on the golf course and be this colourful? It grew on me for someone who usually takes the bland road when it comes to golf clothing, and maybe this could be the gateway garment to being braver with my wardrobe on the golf course.

The crucial thing to take away is that it ticked the boxes for comfort, breathability and feel and when you tick these boxes, you can’t really complain.

PROS:

  • Light
  • Breathable and no burden to wear
  • True to size

CONS:

  • The design will definitely divide opinion

Puma Pure Colorblock Polo X

5 star review
best golf polos

Reviewed by Matt Chivers

I got this Pure Colourblock Polo in the Black-Intense Red edition which I thoroughly enjoyed wearing out on the golf course. The white stripe across the front contrasts well with the red and predominant black colour.

The polo is very light and like many of its Puma Polo cousins, you can barely feel it on your back. This helps with the freedom of movement in your swing and increases comfort levels while you are on the golf course.

The look is very smart. Although the Deep Navy-White Glow edition is also a pleasing number, I was very happy with this Black-Intense Red scheme. I felt it suited me and I imagine it will suit many other golfers who purchase this polo, which is also extremely well-priced in a market that is saturated with more expensive products that probably don’t contain more quality.

It is a polo that you can’t go wrong with and it is a solid option that is now ingrained in the core of my golf wardrobe, both for the winter and the summer.

PROS:

  • A pretty faultless design with Black-Intense Red
  • The feeling is light and comfortable
  • It is reasonably priced

CONS:

  • None

Peter Millar Men’s Soul Long-Sleeve Performance Mesh Polo

best golf polos 2024

Reviewed by Jonathan Taylor

Peter Millar is an American clothing brand founded in 2001 in Raleigh, North Carolina that has a reputation for producing high quality golf sportswear.

An absolute staple of any golfing wardrobe is the short-sleeved polo, but I reckon far less of us have a long-sleeved version. I started wearing them a couple of years ago, and they certainly make a stylish alternative to a baselayer when the temperature starts to fall.

And the Soul long-sleeve is a particularly smart & stylish option. The 92% polyester, 8% spandex fabric is moisture-wicking, offers four-way stretch with superb lightweight next to the skin comfort.

It works well as a warm first layer and has a tailored collar with 4-button placket. It comes in a range of four different colours. I tested the version in Lacinato which is a dark green. The garment is described as a tailored fit but the medium fitted me just fine. The only issue I had was that I did get some moisture build-up when walking briskly uphill, which I wouldn’t normally expect with a technical baselayer.

The absence of any logo, other than an unobtrusive small motif on the upper back, and the stylish tailoring, means that the Soul long-sleeve is as wearable off the course as it is on it.

PROS:

  • Useful first layer option
  • Smart, tailored fit
  • Good choice of colours
  • Very comfortable

CONS:

  • Lacks ultimate breathability

Lyle & Scott Golf Striped Polo

5 star review
best golf polos

Reviewed by Victor Levison

You can tell right away that it’s top-notch quality when you see the golden eagle emblem on the shirt. It represents the heritage, quality and craftsmanship of the Lyle & Scott brand.

I usually stick to plain white or blue polo shirts, maybe a few other colours, but I’m not really into two-tone styles. However, after trying out the striped polo shirt, I’m a convert.

Polo shirts have been a staple in every golfer’s wardrobe for years, and the striped option adds a cool twist to the classic design. Made from breathable, sweat-wicking fabric, it has contrasting striped panels on the shoulders, a classic collar, and a front button placket. It’s super comfy to wear – I’m slim fit, but it fit me perfectly. I think it might even improve my golf game!

Callaway Golf Mens Golf Ball & Tee SwingTech Stretch Golf Polo Shirt

4 star review

Reviewed by Gillon Fabbroni

Left to my own devices I can be a bit boring when it comes to choosing clothes. It was a bit of a change, therefore,  to try the Callaway Golf Men’s Golf Ball and Tee Swingtech Stretch Polo Shirt.

Despite its striking looks, I thought it was a smart shirt. The collar is a fairly rigid design which gives it this appearance. Callaway are not kidding when they describe the shirt as having stretch. This is the stretchiest shirt I have ever tried.

All in all, very good when it comes to swinging the club as I hate anything that is even vaguely restricting. It is made with 30% recycled polyester which is nice to see, and it is machine washable. A great chopice if you fancy steering away from less adventurous designs.

PROS:

  • Very stretchy
  • Striking, yet smart design
  • Uses some recycled materials

Oscar Jacobson Bullock Tour Polo

The Bullock tour polo is part of Oscar Jacobson’s autumn/winter 2024 release. Despite being part of the the A/W collection it is of course wearable all year round! I have always liked the OJ polos, I find them very comfortable on and off the course and think they look really smart.

It is designed with stretch fabric to enhance comfort and allow for full range of movement for your day on the course which I can certainly vouch for. It also has side vents and a self fabric collar stand which is a really good addition. It is an annoyance of mine when a polo shirt loses its shape in the collar, and I have never had this problem with a shirt from Oscar Jacobson. It is also has UV protection built in which is a cool feature, maybe not necessary for the coming weather but certainly handy for the warmer days!

Stuburt Kestrel Polo Shirt

best golf polos 2024

Reviewed by Gillon Fabbroni

There are an abundance of golf shirts made with microfibre textiles. Does the Stuburt Kestrel offer anything different? It certainly has a lot to offer in my opinion.

It is made from polyester/elastane and it is one of the best feeling shirts I have worn. The material is soft and very flexible without being ridiculously thin.

Stuburt claim exceptional moisture transfer and breathability. Unfortunately there was not the weather to put this to the test but the feel of the material would back these claims up.

I was mightily impressed with the quality of this shirt and it is extremely well priced at an RRP of £24.99. Recommended.

Reviewed by Jack Backhouse

Golf fashion has never been in a better place. Brand like Lyle and Scott continue to put out superb looking polo shits with the added technology as to not get in your way on the golf course.

The Golf Floral Polo Shirt is made from breathable sweat wicking fabric, which is ideal for those strange hot then cold autumnal days when you cant make your mind up as to whether you should take your jacket off or not and persevere with it on.

Not only is the design fantastic, but the fit is brilliant, fitting my medium bodied frame brilliantly. There is enough room a base layer underneath on a cold frosty morning but it is also light enough to be worn in a non base layer laying system if you prefer not to wear those.

This is a classic Lyle & Scott piece that will last in your wardrobe for many seasons to come.

Under Armour Men’s UA Matchplay Long Sleeve Polo

4 star review
best golf polos

Reviewed by Matt Coles

Polo shirts are a must on the golf course, but through the winter, you might be looking to transition from a short sleeve to a long sleeve polo shirt.

Under Armour have improved the Matchplay Long Sleeve Polo, which remains very similar to their short sleeve models. The fabric is now even lighter than it was, making it more breathable and comfortable.

However, throughout the winter months, that thinner material might mean you require either a base layer or a jumper over the top. Like a lot of UA’s winter gear, the material is fast drying and moisture wicking to make it perfect for wearing throughout inclement weather in the winter months in the UK.

PROS:

  • Comfortable
  • Light and breathable

CONS:

  • Thin for winter

Under Armour Men’s UA Playoff 3.0 Printed Polo

best golf polos 2024
best golf polos

The soft feeling of the polo shirt gives it a lightweight and breathable nature. It’s a great polo for using under a base layer in winter and its thin texture gives it a nice fit during the summer. The performance benefits are amplified by its breathability as it helps to keep the golfer cooler during a round. Not to mention, you’ll stay smelling fresh.

I love the style and pattern of the shirt, it’s subtle but colourful. The navy and black is probably my favourite colourway and the stripes across the polo look classy and professional. It has a modern contemporary look which I always look for in a golf polo, so this is ideal if your like me.

Practically, the polo shirt also holds up extremely strongly as Under Armour say the shirt is constructed with their moisture transport technology which gives it rapid evaporation. You should be able to stay both dry and cool wearing this polo shirt.

PROS:

  • Light and breathable
  • Plenty of colour options
  • Fast drying

  • The style may not be to everyone’s taste

Stromberg Men’s Break Block Golf Polo

best golf polos 2024

Reviewed by Matt Coles

The Men’s Break Block Golf Polo from Stromberg offers moisture-wicking technology to keep golfers dry out on the course, especially useful through the winter months in the UK.

Made from recycled polyester, the material is comfortable and breathable on your skin, but might well need to be teamed with either a base layer or a mid-layer/quarter zip to keep you warm. The design of the shirt is nice and basic, and not too rowdy for the golf course, while the shirt comes in a range of colourways, including navy/white and black/white.

In summary, the Men’s Break Block Golf Polo is a great option for those that do not want to spend a large amount on a polo shirt from one of the major brands, and it allows you to perform to the same high levels.

J.Lindeberg KV Regular Fit Polo

4 star review

Reviewed by Max McVittie

I’m a big fan of J.Lindeberg clothing in general. I have used a few of their golf polos previously and have always been impressed by them. This KV regular fit polo was no different.

I like the simplicity of the shirt and personally think the logo on the back looks smart. The colourways go well with each other, with the grey and orange being a standout for me. Although, some people may be put off by the logo placement on the back of the shirt, but on the whole, I do believe its a smart looking shirt.

Comfort was fantastic, it’s not an overly tight fit and holds up well performance wise. I love the oevrall feel of the polo. I tend to go for golf shirts that have a sporty feel to them and this certainly has that.

For those who want something a bit brighter than grey, then there are plenty of different colours on offer for this classic design.

J.Lindeberg Lionel Regular Fit Polo

5 star review

Reviewed by Max McVittie

If it’s subtilty you’re looking for on the golf course from your polo, then you need look no further than J.Lindedeberg’s Lionel regular fit shirt. This classy-looking golf polo is very aesthetically pleasing and is available in a range of colours.

In the days of golf shirts becoming increasingly more elaborate, this goes back to a more scaled back design that still excels performance wise. Don’t get me wrong, I do like a golf shirt with some patterning and colour but I also appreciate a more basic, smart styling.

I also found the polo to be extremely comfortable and with its fast-drying capabilities it’s a really useful shirt for wet weather golfing. As winter golf starts to commence this could be a great option to help battle the inevitable worsening conditions.

For those who want traditional styled golf wear this winter, then this may be the polo for you.

Original Penguin Pete’s Game Print Golf Polo Shirt In Amparo Blue

4 star review

Reviewed by Steve Carroll

This is apparel that’s determined to stand out.

Original Penguin’s Pete’s Game print polo shirt follows the mascot’s adventures on the golf course like a scene traced on film.

It’s bright, cartoonish, and will definitely get you noticed in the clubhouse. But that is not this garment’s main selling point.

Slightly loose fitting for a medium, its very lightweight. Having worn it on one of the best days of a late summer, it is incredibly good at taking moisture away from the skin but not just embedding it into the fabric.

Comfortable to swing in and stretching for those who might find it a tighter fit, it’s also made from 30 per cent recycled polyester for those conscious about their environmental footprint.

If you happy to be the centre of attention, there is a lot to admire about the Pete’s Game print polo shirt.

PROS

  • Moisture-wicking works exceptionally well in warmer temperatures
  • Recycled fabric will appeal to eco-friendly golfers.

Lululemon ShowZero Polo

best golf polos 2024

Reviewed by Max McVittie

After the hot weather we have experienced in the UK over the last week, we’d all like to be a little cooler. I imagine there were a few sweaty polos out on the courses with this much welcomed summer weather we have finally enjoyed.

However, this wasn’t a problem I had when testing the latest golf polo shirt from Lululemon. The brand credits their ShowZero technology in the shirts ability to hide the appearance of sweat, as it uses an innovative sweat-wicking fabric. This feature makes this shirt ideal for when travelling abroad to warmer climates for a golfing trip, or just for at home when summer decides it wants to arrive.

Comfort was great, it wasn’t overly tight but the shirt is a slimmer fit than most golf polos. So, do be aware if you don’t want a tighter polo, sizing up may be best. I tested the large and had no issues swinging in it, although I would ideally want the sleeves to be a little less tight and a tad longer.

The Lululemon Show Zero polo is also a fantastic option for casual wear. Its simplistic design and colouring allows it to be worn off the course just as easily as on it.

PROS

  • Sweat resistant look
  • Plenty of breathability
  • Smart design
  • Nice colour options

CONS

  • Slimmer fit may not be for everyone

This polo offers a modern style collar which I really like, and the sleeves on the arms hug my biceps and make me feel like I’ve been to the gym more than I actually have. Thank you Adidas.

The polysester material is 100% recycled and super thin which is supposed to maximise airflow when it is hot to allow the golfer to stay comfortable throughout the round.

I like how light and unrestrictive it is whilst I swing and wearing it makes me feel like an athlete.

The colour is nice and bright and goes well with the rest of my wardrobe – which mainly consists of dark navy trousers and shorts!

In short – a great summer piece.

Ashworth Micro Dot Polo

4.5 star review

Reviewed by Max McVittie

Famed by Fred Couples Masters victory in 1992, Ashworth has been a staple in the golfing world since its inception in 1987. Ashworth prides themself on having clothes ‘designed for golfers by golfers’ and this polo certainly fits in with that mantra.

Their latest release includes a striking micro dot pattern polo shirt which is perfect for the summer months. This lively design will be right for you if you feel comfortable in a flashier shirt – if you’re game can back it up.

I tested the cobalt version of the polo and found that it was a nice fit, that doesn’t allow for you to get overly heated during a round. For some clothing brands you are sometimes required to go one size up or down to get that perfect fit, but for me my normal size was just right. The fabric is soft and doesn’t feel like you are lounging around a weighted, baggy shirt.

Comfort was also great, I had no issues with the shirt sticking to me when I got a bit sweaty in the humid conditions.

Personally, I like the pattern. It isn’t anything particularly funky but it does have an edge. Whether you like the design, is ultimately where your decision should lie. Can you see yourself rocking the micro dot look?

PROS

  • High quality feel
  • Light
  • Breathable fit

  • Design may not be for everyone

Adidas Ultimate365 Allover Pint polo shirt

5 star review

Reviewed by Jack Backhouse

The Adidas Ultimate 365 Allover print polo is a great addition to the spring summer wardrobe.

The light weight polyester/elastane material offers a more relaxed fit that helps keep you cool when the temperature and your play is hotting up.

It has a traditional collar that sits nicely under sweaters and comes in 3 different colours to match any outfit choice.

I love how light the material is as it doesn’t restrict at all when you are playing, and it feels to me like the perfect shirt for those hot days where you play 36 holes.

The pattern on the shirt is sharp and will liven up even the most conservative wardrobes without being garish.

You will catch me going straight from the golf course to the pub in this shirt as I think the style is casual and looks great for most occasions.

Farah Keller polo shirt

5 star review

Reviewed by Tom Bullough

As part of their 2024 release, Farah have released their Keller polo. Farah’s releases this year have all been very impressive and it’s certainly a brand to consider when making your golf apparel purchases moving forwards.

I tested the Jester Red version of the Keller polo, and once I got over the imposter syndrome of wearing red on a golf course without breaking 80… I really grew to enjoy the fit and style of the shirt.

It has a nice tailored fit with a really clean finish, with just some subtle branding on front left chest and below the collar on the back it offers an ideal staple for your wardrobe this summer.

In summary I was really impressed with this polo, it looks smart for both on and off the golf course, comfortable fit and a really good price point – currently 25% off as well!

For those that also don’t want the imposter syndrome of a red polo, there is another four colourways available to choose from!

PROS

  • Smart design
  • Excellent price point – even before the 25% off!
  • Good colour choice

Adidas Ultimate365 Tour Primeknit polo shirt

4.5 star review

Reviewed by Jack Backhouse

This shirt is for the modern player.

The striped primeknit build has been designed for ultimate range of motion and maximum stretch so that the golfer can play distraction free.

The sizing is quite slim fit and hugs my shoulders and arms nicely as if the time in the gym has not gone to waste.

I am a big fan of Adidas’s modern collar, it still looks very smart but slightly different which I like.

The Adidas Ultimate 365 Tour Primeknit polo is made from 70% polysester and 30% nylon, which provides a wonderful lightweight stretchy material that stays comfortable no matter how long you wear it for.

The semi blue burst colour is bright and livens up any outfit.

I expect this Summer you will see golfers wearing this straight from the course to the bar as the style carries well off the course too.

Ping Arizona Cactus polo shirt

We see more and more print shirts every year when it comes to golfing attire. Ping have gone with desert plantation in their 2024 set, with the Arizona Cactus Polo. “Inspired by the home of Ping” – the company’s headquarters are in Arizona – this polo shirt is printed with cacti all over the front, back and sleeves of the design.

The cacti are darker than the shirt’s base colour in all four colourways – Aruba, Coronet, Grey or Rose colourway. The Arizona Cactus Polo is made from recycled materials and features SensorCool technology, providing golfers with comfort throughout a round of golf.

Not only is this a great polo for the golf course, but this is definitely a piece of clothing that could be worn on holiday in a tropical climate, at a beach party, or at many other summertime events. £55 to look stylish on or off the course – it’s a no-brainer, surely? Especially as at the time of writing, it is available in Scottsdale at just £37.99 (see price table below).

Sounder Long Sleeve Play Well polo shirt

5 star review
best golf polos 2024

Reviewed by Mike Robertson

I’m a huge fan of Sounder. It’s nice to have new brands that offer something little different to the other traditional golf brands. The guys and girls at Sounder sent me the new Play Well polo – nice name and let’s hope it works. The long sleeves suit me as I’m usually always cold. I also play a lot of links courses so the protection from the wind is nice with this long-sleeve.

All Sounder clothes are designed to fit comfortably, with enough room for a full swing of the golf club without any loose fabric getting in the way. This is certainly evident with the Play Well polo. The fit is roomy, and the fabric is high quality – it’s extremely comfortable.

The subtle branding is also a nice touch, with no big garish logos. This is a piece that you can wear away from the course – which I have done – and equally at home on the course. The look and fit might be too ‘modern’ for some traditionalists, but the Sounder brand push the golf stereotype just the right amount for me.

This is a quality-made polo. It’s almost slightly heavier than you’d expect—a bit like a hybrid of a polo and a sweater. The contrast collars and cuffs look nice alongside the hoops. It’s a quality garment.

PROS

  • Heavier than a standard polo – it’s almost a sweater
  • Price is good for the quality of the garment
  • Nice, roomy fit with no fabric in the way

CONS

  • The modern look and fit won’t be for some

RRP – £90

SIZES: XS-2XL

Oscar Jacobson Kotewall polo shirt

The Oscar Jacobson Kotewall polo is one of my favourites in the latest 2024 summer drop. This is an ideal wardrobe staple once the weather finally warms up for some summer golf. It’s lightweight, smart, and available in three colourways on the website. All are designed with the same OJ logo printed continuously across the garment.

I can imagine it will be a popular piece for many golfers this summer. It fits really well, is not too tight or baggy, and does not restrict movement throughout your golf swing.

In keeping with a typical English summer, the garment is cleverly designed with side vents to keep you cool on those hotter days whilst also constructed with fast-drying fabric to keep you dry throughout those inevitable summer downpours.

I will definitely use this item regularly in the year ahead. It ticks all the boxes for comfort, style, and practicality.

Glenmuir Irvine polo shirt

5 star review

Reviewed by Paul Miller

Having never worn Glenmuir before I can safely say I was pleasantly surprised. The Glenmuir Irvine golf polo shirt is designed with precision and style, it embodies the perfect fusion of functionality and fashion. From its lightweight, breathable fabric to its comfortable fit, every detail is designed to enhance performance and comfort. I am pretty much a standard XL across most brands, and the Glenmuir fit, for me, is generous, but I do prefer a looser to a tight fit. If you are a standard XL and prefer a tighter fit then an L size might be preferred.

Made with 88% performance polyester and 12% elastane it ensures you are cool and dry even during the most intense rounds, while the stretch material allows for unrestricted movement, ensuring any bad swings cannot be blamed on the polo shirt! The shirt also has a built-in +40 UV protection which is ideal for the warmer months in the UK or for golf trips abroad.

The anti-curl collar is also a lovely touch and makes you feel like you are wearing a quality item that has been well thought out from a design perspective.

I am not a massive fan of large logos plastered everywhere and so the subtle logo on the right sleeve is ideal. Nor am I a fan of ironing and so the fact that this item needs no ironing is a big plus for me. Just remember to do the wash at 30°C!

Overall, I love the design and feel of this Glenmuir Irvine polo shirt and would have no qualms wearing this on and off the golf course. Even my wife said it smartened me up and made me look a little more sophisticated! So, there is hope for us all and I would happily give this 5 stars out of 5. Three colour options are available direct from Glenmuir priced at £60 or from Clubhouse Golf there are two different colour options at £44.99.

PROS

  • Love the design
  • Breathable
  • Comfortable to swing in
  • +40 UV protection

CONS

  • Might need to double check the size as is a generous fit

Stuburt Eider polo shirt

4 star review

Reviewed by Tom Bullough

As part of Stuburt’s 2024 Golf collection, they have released the Eider polo. It has a lightweight, breathable design which was very comfortable to wear.

It is a tailored fit which looked smart without restricting any movement throughout the golf swing.

I do really like the design of the polo, I am never one to wear anything too outlandish on the golf course so this fits in really nicely as a solid staple for my golf attire this summer.

It is available in three colour ways, all with a simple but smart Stuburt logo on the right-side sleeve.

I usually wear an XL across most items and did find it just on the short side, admittedly I do prefer my upper garments to be slightly on the longer size so would opt for a XXL in the future.

Despite this small recommendation, this polo is an ideal option for both style, functionality and an excellent price point.

FootJoy Primrose Print Lisle Polo Shirt

4.5 star review
best golf polos 2024

At first glance I thought this shirt could be a bit garish for the golf course. However, I’m now beginning to think the different shades a pink petals combined with a navy background merge together very nicely to create an outgoing yet smart colourful shirt.

This colourful expression of a shirt has a cool, breathable fit to help you stay calm when you have that putt to win the monthly medal. This pattern is definitely not for the faint-hearted, but if worn with confidence, it can most definitely make for a brilliantly colourful shirt!

I am a size medium; however, this shirt is slightly baggy, but personally, I prefer that as I feel I can swing easily whilst wearing it. However, if you prefer a slightly tighter fit you may want to consider choosing a slightly smaller size.

PROS

  • Not your typical pattern

FootJoy Thistle Print Lisle Polo Shirt

4.5 star review
best golf polos 2024

Reviewed by Josh Stephens

I really like the contrast of the navy thistles to the turquoise base colour. This contrast is very nice on the eye and slightly dims the overall brightness of the shirt to a much more pleasant colour.

The stretchy, thin material of the shirt makes it breathable and cool which is perfect for summer golf. It is a great quality material and one that will not hug your body on the hot days of summer yet still provides an athletic fit on the course.

Like the Primose Print Lisle polo (above), the sizing is generous, but that is my personal preference. If you like a tighter fit, then consider a smaller size.

PROS

J Lindeberg Tour Tech Slim Fit Polo Shirt

best golf polos 2024
best golf polos 2024

Reviewed by Jack Backhouse

I have always been a J Lindeberg fan. In fact, I can remember the first JL waterproof jacket I ever had, and may even still have it. Their fit just seems to suit my slender frame so I’ve always had a small collection of it. One thing you notice with the brand is they only ever seem to be in the pro shops of top clubs.

It is 100% polyester and made from J Lindeberg’s premium fabric, TX Jersey™, and it has moisture-wicking properties, technical stretch, and an extra soft feel. Slipping it on, it feels light with a snug fit around the shoulders and arms, which I very much like.

The shirt was really comfortable next to the skin and to swing in. It fitted closely, but there was no restriction when swinging, so it was an absolute pleasure to wear.

I’ve worn it just by itself on a hot day and under a mid-layer in the wind and the moisture-wicking technology has ensured that I’ve remained cool and dry. It’s also long enough in the body to not become untucked if tucking your shirt in is your thing.

Although I have mostly worn this shirt for golf, I have enjoyed wearing the polo away from the golf club; such is the comfort and fit. So I think this is a polo that will get plenty of use over the summer. It’s comfortable, smart and stylish. I could quite happily order some more in other colours!

PROS

  • Simple, smart design.
  • Comfortable to wear.
  • Good range of colours.

CONS

  • Quite a small slim fitting; some golfers may need to size up
