It is hard to see past the Ping Pioneer 2025 Cart Bag in this category. You are getting a bag that is tough, smart, built to last and has an array of pockets to keep your kit in places where you can easily get to it. The way it sits snugly on trolleys and buggies is another real plus. You just can’t go wrong with one of these bags.

First Impressions

The Ping Pioneer Cart Bag 2025 is a high-capacity, feature-rich cart bag that offers extensive storage, thoughtful organisation solutions and trademark durability. With its capacious pockets, a 15-way top and the snugness with which it fits on to a trolley or buggy, it is off to a great start.

NCG Verdict

We have to start with the storage. The Pioneer offers many pockets and a total volume of 35 litres. That figure may or may not mean anything to you but rest assured that you will have plenty of room for a spare jumper, waterproofs, accessories, valuables, an umbrella, snacks and all the other detritus we golfers tend to accumulate and believe that we can’t possibly play a round of golf without.

Highlights include an insulated cooler pocket for drinks, a velour-lined valuables pockets, dedicated places to put your laser and GPS – plus a magnetic quick-access pocket for those small essentials.

Even when the bag is strapped to a cart, it’s still really easy to access the majority of the pockets – which isn’t always the case.
The Pioneer’s robust build is designed for the golfer who plays regularly and needs the bag to last: it has high-impact walls, reinforced stitching and utilises quality materials. This does mean the bag is relatively heavy but that is surely not a huge concern considering it will be sitting on a trolley or a buggy. If you want a carry bag, then you will be looking elsewhere, and there are plenty of models in the Ping line-up that will hit the spot.

Final Thoughts

For those of us who tend not to travel light (we do have our reasons!) and carry a full collection of gear around with us, we need a bag that is up to the task. It needs to keep everything organised and protected. The Ping Pioneer Cart Bag 2025 offers clear and demonstrable strengths in terms of storage, organisation of clubs and kit and a highly durable design. For those who rarely carry, this bag is a great option and one that competes with anything else that we have tested in the premium sector of the bag market.
