After 125 years, Royal Norwich will soon be upping sticks and moving to a new home. It's been an emotional ride for the club, as they reveal in the first Club Golf Journeys documentary

In the first of his new Club Golf Journeys documentary series, Steve Carroll travelled to Royal Norwich to speak to the people masterminding the move from their historic Hellesdon course to a new site at Weston Longville.

We meet general manager Phil Grice and long-serving professional Neil Lythgoe to discuss what the move means to them and how it will feel when the curtain finally falls on their present layout – a course that has 125 years of history.

Steve Carroll

A journalist for 23 years, Steve has been immersed in club golf for almost as long. A former captain and committee member, he has passed the Level 3 Rules of Golf exam with distinction having attended the national Tournament Administrators and Referee's Seminar. He has officiated at a host of high-profile tournaments, including Open Regional Qualifying and the PGA Fourball Championship. A member of NCG's Top 100s panel, Steve has a particular love of links golf and is frantically trying to restore his single-figure handicap.
