Kilspindie Golf Club aerial Scotland under £100

If you love golf, then you will love golf in Scotland, and you can play all of these incredible venues for less than £100 on the NCG Top 100s Tour!

Scotland, and in particular St Andrews, is the ‘Home of Golf’. It is the country where the game first came to be, and it is the true spiritual home of the sport.

Admittedly, as we move into 2026, if you want to play at major venues or championship courses, then you might have to spend a bit more.

However, there are some gems that will still cost you less than £100, and there are several of those on the NCG Top 100s Tour schedule for the year!

Whether you like links golf, inland layouts, and even the odd venue that is in the middle of nowhere, we have you covered on the NCG Top 100s Tour…

Which venues on the NCG Top 100s: Scotland list can you play for less than £100?

Kilspindie

Founded in 1899, and with several holes running along the North Sea coastline, there is plenty to love about Kilspindie. It might only be 5,500 yards, but the sea breeze, and the risk of firing one into the North Sea, add to the danger of a round at this stunning East Lothian venue.

  • Book your spot to play at Kilspindie on the NCG Top 100s Tour on March 30th, 2026 here.

Gullane No.2

One of three layouts at arguably the best 54-hole venue in the country. The No.2 Course may sit somewhat in the shadows of the championship No.1 Course, but it remains one of the best links layouts in Scotland.

  • Book your spot to play at Gullane No.2 on the NCG Top 100s Tour on March 31st, 2026 here.
  • You can play at both Kilspindie and Gullane No.2 as part of our East Lothian Swing, which also incorporates an event at Longniddry as well.

Fortrose & Rosemarkie

Sitting on the stunning Chanonry Peninsula, and with water surrounding three sides of the course, Fortrose & Rosemarkie is one of the most picturesque courses in Scotland. This is enhanced in the springtime when the gorse bushes are in their full bloom, showing off vibrant swathes of yellow – just don’t find it off the tee!

Auchterarder

One of four courses within a couple of miles, Auchterarder borders the neighbouring Gleneagles Resort, home to three of the best inland courses in Scotland. In its own right, Auchterarder is a great track, with three parts to it, all winding through Scottish pine trees.

Dunaverty

One of the most unique and remote venues on the NCG Top 100s: Scotland list, Dunaverty is a true golfing experience. Situated at the southern tip of the Kintyre Peninsula, it requires a long journey to get there – either by road, air or sea – but it is truly worth it!

Fraserburgh

Sitting in the northeastern corner of Aberdeen, the Corbiehill Course at Fraserburgh is a proper links layout, and part of the seventh oldest golf club in the world. If you’ve made the trip to the club that was founded way back in 1777, why not play the 9-hole Rosehill Course on the other side of the road as well?

Kilmarnock Barassie

Although it often gets lost among the multitude of golfing delights in Ayrshire, Kilmarnock Barassie is another fine links venue. Train lines running down both sides of the property, and pot bunkers galore – what more could you want from a Scottish golf course? Much like Fraserburgh, there is also the 9-hole Hillhouse Course which is just as good!

Mention a European country, and Matt will tell you which resorts make the National Club Golfer Top 100s: European Resorts list. He might even throw in who designed the golf course and how many rooms the hotel has got at each one…

Matt got into the game of golf from a young age, following his old man to the local golf club. He fell for the sport, and now can’t seem to go a day without thinking about how to improve his game (Thanks Dad!). Matt has been a member of Howley Hall GC in Leeds since 2020, and is just about managing to maintain a single-figure handicap. He likes to remind people that he once broke 75, but won’t tell people that it was on a shortened course during the winter.

He moved to Leeds after graduating from the University of Central Lancashire with a First Class Honours degree in Sports Journalism. Matt joined NCG after almost five years travelling the world with the Professional Squash Association, working on events in all four corners of the globe.

Matt currently plays a Cobra King LTDx driver and RadSpeed 3-wood. TaylorMade monopolise the rest of his bag, with a SIM UDI, M5 irons and both Milled Grind and HI-TOE wedges, along with a Monza Redline putter. He uses a Vice Pro Plus golf ball, because he’s a bit different…

Away from golf, Matt is a Manchester United fan, and a keen runner, having ran the Rob Burrow Leeds Marathon (his first and possibly last), in May 2023.
