Everyone will have their own opinions after seeing the NCG Top 100s: Wales list, but which courses do our panellists believe are underrated?
There is plenty of choice when it comes to Welsh golf, with links courses around the coast, and stunning moorland tracks further infield.
The way these lists are compiled is not an exact science. Some may think there are underrated courses, others may believe there are overrated courses.
That can always be a topic of discussion when it comes to golf in Wales, which features the likes of Royal St David’s, Nefyn & District, Royal Porthcawl and the Twenty Ten Course at the Celtic Manor Resort.
Are any of these underrated? Which courses should be higher? Our panellists had their say…

Which courses do our panellists believe should be higher?
Jim Banting: Bull Bay – A highly enjoyable experience from start to finish.
Ed Battye: Clyne – A beautifully raw, rugged and natural moorland course.
Sean Arble: Welshpool. Not quite the final word, but this is what Darwin had to say: “The fact is that it is almost as impossible to describe the course as to describe the view; it is so unexpected, so unlike anything else, perched on the roof of the world. It is a beautiful place and I realised how incomplete had been my golfing education until I had seen it.”
Chris Myatt: Two deserve this accolade – Machynys Peninsula and Cardigan. Both courses were brilliantly presented and have a varied selection of holes with multiple routes to the greens.
Alex Frolish: Clyne – Rugged beauty mixed with subtle architecture.
Greg Webber: The two that struck me most were Cardigan, with interesting holes and some great greens complexes, and Anglesey, an unfussy, but highly enjoyable links.
Dan Murphy: Bull Bay – Touches of Herbert Fowler’s genius repeatedly lift this course to a higher level.
David Walker: Pyle & Kenfig

Peter Rudd: Prestatyn possesses some excellent golf holes and has the potential to be a classic championship course.
Mike Robertson: North Wales. Yes, it isn’t manicured perfectly, but it’s a really enjoyable course. 16 and 17 are great short holes.
