Augusta will soon have a new world-class golf course that promises to be “America’s next great masterpiece”.
Hall of Famer Tom Watson, who won two of his eight majors just five miles away at Augusta National, has designed one of the two 18-hole courses at Cypress Shoals, which is set to open this year.
The course, in North Augusta, which is just over the state line in South Carolina, is set on a beautiful piece of land with rolling hills and stunning views, and “promises to be a challenging but fair test of golf for players of all abilities”. The clubhouse will be a stunning facility, with views of the course and the surrounding landscape. It will include a restaurant, bar, and pro shop, as well as locker rooms and other amenities.
