NCG’s Top 100 Golf Courses in Wales
This is our first ranking of the finest courses in Wales, and we are proud of the insight and knowledge that it offers. The suggestion that Wales is the undiscovered golf destination among the countries that make up Britain and Ireland is given credence by this list.
Not because it is ‘only’ 50 courses – in fact in terms of overall courses in the country, it is a ratio favourable to Wales compared to others in these islands – but because there are so many relatively undiscovered terrific courses in the list.
We all know about Porthcawl and Aberdovey, the TwentyTen and St David’s, but do enough golfers know about how characterful Pennard is, or how brilliant a links Tenby is, or how challenging Conwy is?
And then further down the list, do you know Bull Bay from Holyhead and that when you’re playing Porthmadog you need to also play Abersoch?

That’s what these lists are all about – helping you plan brilliant golf trips so you don’t miss out on anything you *should* have played.
With our relatively small but knowledgable panel, we think we provide that insight in the next 12 pages. And do it with some authority.
We hope you enjoy discovering the Top 50 courses in the Principality.
