Sahith Theegala stole the hearts of PGA Tour fans when he faltered down the stretch to surrender the 2022 WM Phoenix Open. He suffered another sand-related near miss at the Travelers Championship in the same year.
But the likeable American put his demons to bed at the 2023 Fortinet Championship and now, he is one of the PGA Tour’s most consistent performers and reached as high as 12th in the world rankings in 2024.
A look inside Sahith Theegala’s bag
Theegala is a Ping man and at the top of his bag is the new Ping G440 LST driver – replacing the G430 version he had in play in 2024.
He has also made a change in 2025 in relation to his fairway woods – introducing the G440 four and nine woods.
This change means that he has removed a 3-iron and starts his irons from 4-6, no 7 iron, then 8-PW. It is his dislike for the number 7 that has resulted in it being removed!
He carries three Ping s159 wedges and rounds out his bag with a Ping TR 1966 Anser 2 prototype.
