WITB: Patton Kizzire – Sony Open
American Patton Kizzire relied on a bag full of Titleist gear as he claimed his second PGA Tour win after a mammoth six-hole play-off with James Hahn in Hawaii.
This win comes just two months after Kizzire’s maiden victory at the OHL Mayakoba Classic in Malaysia and has propelled him to the brink of the world’s top 50.
The Titleist staffer has a bag full of new gear with the exception of a five-year-old hybrid which he’s obviously very fond of.
He uses the D3 version of the Titleist 917 driver which is the slightly more compact and lower-spinning head.
There’s also a 917 F2 fairway wood but he’s still using the 913 model when it comes to his 19˚ hybrid.
Kizzire’s iron set up is very typical of what we see from most tour players these days with three different models.
He uses the sleek 718 MBs in the short irons.
Then plumps for the forged cavity 718 CBs in the mid irons.
And carries a 718 T-MB 4-iron for a easier launch and more ball speed
Kizzire plays the brand new Titleist Vokey SM7 wedges which aren’t available to buy yet and favours the Pro V1x ball.
