Hideki Matsuyama has proudly flown the flag for Japan on the PGA Tour for many years now.
He became the first male golfer from his country to win a major when he won the Masters in 2021, and he is now a eleven-time winner on the PGA Tour – his last victory being in January 2025 at The Sentry – winning by 3 strokes from Collin Morikawa.
Matsuyama won for the first time on the US circuit at the 2014 Memorial Tournament at Muirfield Village. He has since become one of the most consistent performers in the world and one of the most recognisable figures.
He entered the 2025 season hoping to beat his two victories in 2024 and with the win at The Sentry getting him off to a fast start you would not bet against him bettering his 2024 victory tally.
Although he is a Srixon staffer, Matsuyama has a mixed bag of gear – the only change to the actual clubs for this year coming in the putter department – where he is gaming a different Scotty Cameron model.
He is still playing the Srixon Z Star XV but is playing the new 2025 model that came out in January.
A look inside Hideki Matsuyama’s bag
At the top of his bag, Matsuyama has a Srixon ZX5 Mk II LS driver, TaylorMade Qi10 3-wood and a Cobra King RapSpeed Tour 5-wood.
As he belongs to Srixon, a set of Z-Forged II irons dominate the middle of his bag with a full set of Cleveland wedges and a Scotty Cameron Prototype putter at the bottom.
