Francesco Molinari WITB 2019. Molinari has completely changed his bag for 2019 after becoming a Callaway staff player. He has 14 new clubs in play compared to the set up he used to win the Open last year.
Let’s take a look at the clubs the Italian used to take the 54-hole lead at the Masters…
What’s in Molinari’s bag?
The Champion Golfer of the Year has opted to add the Callaway Epic Flash driver to his bag this year, equipped with a Mitsubishi Chemical Tensei CK Pro Blue 70x shaft, and it has replaced the TaylorMade M4 he used in 2018.
He has also added the Epic Flash 3-wood rigged with a Mitsubishi Chemical Tensei CK Pro Blue 80x shaft. During his win at Bay Hill he was carrying the 3-wood in a 13.5° loft, this week he has chosen to swap this for a 15° model.
He had previously used a Callaway Utility but has used an 20° Apex Hybrid since the Arnold Palmer Invitational at Bay Hill earlier this year.
The Italian has a mixed set up and uses a Callaway Apex Pro 4-iron and a set of Callaway Apex MB prototypes from 5-iron to pitching wedge.
Interestingly, the Apex MB irons he employs are forged in Japan and are one of three sets on the planet.
Molinari uses the Callaway Mack Daddy 4 wedges in 50°, 56° and 60°. All his wedges are equipped with True Temper Dynamic Gold X100 shafts.
He has also switched his putter from a Bettinardi Dass BBZero to a Toulon Madison Stroke Lab and hits a Callaway Chrome Soft X ball.
Molinari still wears Nike clothing.
