‘Nobody will believe this’! Cameron Young drive lands somewhere never seen before at US Open
When Cameron Young pulled his tee shot on the 10th hole during the third round of the 2023 US Open, he probably assumed it would settle in the rough and he’d have a tough shot on his hands.
The group cried ‘fore left’ on the tee box and headed down to the gallery that his ball flew towards.
But Young’s shot had incredibly landed in the ball holder of a golf cart – much to the amazement of the television broadcast team and the spectators.
Yes, you read that correctly, and we have video evidence below to prove it!

The ruling’s pretty straightforward. The cart’s a movable obstruction and the ball is on it. You move the buggy and then drop in a one-club relief area, with the reference point for that right underneath where the obstruction had been.
Having made three birdies on Saturday to this point, Young managed to make a par after this extraordinary mishap.
After finishing second at The 150th Open so impressively in 2022, the 26-year-old American was fancied by many to go one better on the major championship scene this season.
He came tied seventh at the Masters and missed the cut at the PGA Championship at Oak Hill, and it would appear this week at Los Angeles Country Club is set to pass him by too.
Young recorded his sixth runner-up finish on the PGA Tour at the WGC-Dell Match Play in March. He is still winless on the circuit.
