The 2023 US Open is almost upon us and Los Angeles Country Club is ready to host its first major championship in its history.
From June 15-18, the best players in the world will compete for the United States Open Championship trophy in Los Angeles for the first time in 28 years.
There are a number of ways in which players can qualify for the US Open golf field – players from the PGA Tour, the DP World Tour, and the LIV Golf League.
Players who have won PGA Tour events have earned a spot in the field, while the Korn Ferry Tour points leader from 2022 will also tee it up in California.
The top two players from the 2022 DP World Tour rankings who aren’t otherwise exempt earn a spot, as well as the top two in the 2023 DP World Tour US Open qualifying series.
The current Race to Dubai rankings are also a chance for players to earn their spot, while former winners of the US Open are exempt for 10 years after they lift the trophy.
Players can also earn places in the field via Final Qualifying and their Official World Golf Ranking too
