It’s the last major championship of the 2026 men’s golf season, but what is the TV schedule for the Open Championship at Royal Birkdale?
This year’s event will take place from July 16-19, with Southport playing host for the tenth time, and the first time since Jordan Spieth’s epic victory in 2017.
World No.1 Scottie Scheffler will be the defending champion after winning the Claret Jug by four shots at Royal Portrush last year. The four-time major winner will seek to become the first player to retain the Open Championship since Padraig Harrington’s successful defence in 2008.
Tommy Fleetwood will arrive at Birkdale with significant backing, as he hopes to lead the English challenge on home soil. He has three top-10s in the Open, including a runner-up finish to Shane Lowry in 2019.
Grand Slam winner and back-to-back Masters champion joins PGA champion Aaron Rai and US Open winner Wyndham Clark in the field as the Northern Irishman seeks to win his seventh major title and second Claret Jug.
As per usual, Sky Sports will have wall-to-wall coverage of the event in the United Kingdom. Below, we have details on the British Open 2026 TV schedule, but not the US guide as of yet. We will revisit this when we have more details as far as this is concerned.
In the days preceding the event in tournament week, Sky Sports will no doubt have extensive coverage of the practice days, including interviews and on-the-range footage.
