It’s well-known for being the hottest ticket in golf – but it seems you are prepared to do amazing things to go The Masters.
A survey filled in by thousands of you who receive our daily email newsletter has revealed just how desperately so many of you want to be there – and the sort of sacrifices you would make to ensure it happened if the chance arose.
Shockingly, just under a third (29.7%) of you would postpone your own wedding if you got a precious ticket, with another 20% of you revealing you’d give that bombshell serious consideration.
While nuptials are supposed to be a celebration in front of nearest and dearest, such close bonds wouldn’t be enough if a ticket was dangled in front of you.
More than 7 out of 10 (71.3%) admitted you’d miss a friend’s wedding to go to the Masters.
While many of us would consider the birth of a child to be the greatest day of our lives, just try and get inside the heads of the 12.2% of you who would be prepared to sacrifice that magic moment to attend the first golf major of the year.
Another 11% admitted you would have to think about it before committing either way.
And it seems even those of us who can’t get there in person will go to extreme lengths to make sure we don’t miss a second of the action.
If the course of true love often doesn’t run smooth, maybe that’s because 68.5% of you would cancel a date to watch the climax of a major championship or the Ryder Cup.
