I’ve spent the last few weeks inundated with emails about Masters scriptings. So how did they look once the players stepped onto the hallowed turf of Augusta? Let’s take a look. First up, the best dressed…
1. Tiger Woods
The GOAT pulled off a classic Tiger look on Thursday at Augusta. He brought back the mock turtleneck which he wore when he last won the Masters in 2005. No one else can pull off this look like Tiger does. A 10-out-of-10 effort.
2. Rory McIlroy
This season we have seen some questionable colour combinations from McIlroy out on the course. He’s toned it down for the opening round at Augusta with this classic simple striped look. Loses a point for a white belt.
3. Thorbjorn Olesen
Simple and smart styling from Thunderbear on Thursday. His outfit was as neat and tidy as his opening-round 71.
And a special shoutout to Ben Crenshaw for the best accessory. This was from the Par 3 contest on Wednesday…
And now the worst dressed. Are you sitting comfortably?
1. Brooks Koepka
I’m going to ask the obvious question here: What was Koepka thinking when he agreed to wear that hat? Although I’d happily wear this outfit if it enabled me to shoot a 66 round Augusta National. I probably wouldn’t pair it with a green jacket though.
2. Kevin Na
Na’s facial expression perfectly sums up our feelings on these trousers. A double bogey of an outfit.
3. Jason Day
I actually like the hat and shirt combo but it all starts going horribly wrong below the waist. What’s going on with the Custard Cream trousers? And don’t even get me started on the shoes. Day usually makes golf trendy with his smart styling on the fairways, hopefully we’ll see some better outfits from him later in the week…
I was going to stop there but I can’t stick to just three. So let’s keep going with these interesting Masters scriptings…
4. Jordan Spieth
In Spieth’s defense, nobody is breaking 40 in that outfit. @UnderArmour #TheMasters pic.twitter.com/IaioZoOXpA

An outfit and a round to forget for Spieth today.
5. Francesco Molinari
I would like to know who is responsible for these yellow trousers? And why did they think it was acceptable to pair a blue hat, mustard belt and white shoes together?
6. Adam Scott
My colleague Alex Perry isn’t a fan of Scott’s plum and black number…
Adam Scott might be the worst-dressed player in #TheMasters field today.

…but I’m not having it. He clearly hadn’t seen Koepka’s hat or Na’s trousers before posting this tweet.
