One of the many beauties of the PGA Championship is the participation opportunities afforded to the PGA professionals of America.
From coaches to administrators and business leaders, players teed it up in the 2026 PGA Professional Championship at Bandon Dunes in Oregon from April 26 to April 29 to qualify for the second major of the year.
Since 1968, the PGA Professional Championship has been a showcase for the most compelling PGA Golf Professional performances and personal stories.
Every player finishing in the top 20 made it to Aronimink. Some new faces and some old will play in Pennsylvania, including Michael Block, who made headlines at the 2023 PGA Championship when he made a hole-in-one playing with Rory McIlroy in the final round at Oak Hill.
Jesse Droemer won by one shot by shooting 2-under-par in the final round. He is a teaching professional at Riverbend Country Club in Houston, and has qualified for the second year in a row.
“I always say it’s such a blessing to test your game against the best in the world. To represent thousands of PGA professionals on that stage is a dream come true,” he said.
Block, Droemer, Michael Kartrude, Tyler Collet, Ryan Lenahan and Timothy Wiseman are all returning for the second year running. Block will be making his 10th major start in total.
