2024 PGA Championship Saturday tee times: Round 3 groupings

The field has been halved and we’re now playing in score order. When do your favourites tee off on Saturday at Valhalla?/strong>

We’re into the weekend at the PGA Championship, but what are those all important tee times and groupings for play on Saturday?

78 players have made it through to the weekend’s action, with the cut mark coming at 1-under-par.

With the second round needing to be concluded, and that following a delay for heavy fog on Saturday morning, the PGA announced that the third round would be played with a two-tee start, and in three-balls.

The action gets underway at 11:28am ET / 4:28pm BST with a cracking threesome of Cameron Smith, Max Homa and Jordan Spieth, with the latter aiming to complete the Grand Slam this week.

The American trio of Xander Schauffele, Collin Morikawa and Sahith Theegala will play in the final group from the 1st tee. They will be last out, teeing off at 6:40pm BST.

World No 1 Scottie Scheffler is in the penultimate group at 6:29pm BST, playing alongside Thomas Detry and Mark Hubbard.

Bryson DeChambeau, Austin Eckroat and Viktor Hovland are all in the chasing pack, and those three tee off at 6:18pm BST.

Can Rory McIlroy finally get scratch that major itch? The four-time major champion, who is now ten years removed from his last major title, gets underway at 5:12pm BST on Saturday, playing alongside Doug Ghim and Alejandro Tosti.

There are plenty of big names in action, and plenty of blockbuster groups to keep your eyes on…

Mention a European country, and Matt will tell you which resorts make the National Club Golfer Top 100s: European Resorts list. He might even throw in who designed the golf course and how many rooms the hotel has got at each one…

Matt got into the game of golf from a young age, following his old man to the local golf club. He fell for the sport, and now can’t seem to go a day without thinking about how to improve his game (Thanks Dad!). Matt has been a member of Howley Hall GC in Leeds since 2020, and is just about managing to maintain a single-figure handicap. He likes to remind people that he once broke 75, but won’t tell people that it was on a shortened course during the winter.

He moved to Leeds after graduating from the University of Central Lancashire with a First Class Honours degree in Sports Journalism. Matt joined NCG after almost five years travelling the world with the Professional Squash Association, working on events in all four corners of the globe.

Matt currently plays a Cobra King LTDx driver and RadSpeed 3-wood. TaylorMade monopolise the rest of his bag, with a SIM UDI, M5 irons and both Milled Grind and HI-TOE wedges, along with a Monza Redline putter. He uses a Vice Pro Plus golf ball, because he’s a bit different…

Away from golf, Matt is a Manchester United fan, and a keen runner, having ran the Rob Burrow Leeds Marathon (his first and possibly last), in May 2023.
