Check out the list of players who have qualified to play at the PGA Championship in 2027

The PGA Championship comes second in the major schedule, when it used to be glory’s last shot in August.

PGA Frisco in Dallas, Texas, will host the 2027 edition of golf’s second major. The course was only constructed in 2021, but held the 2023 Senior PGA Championship and the 2025 Women’s PGA Championship. Scottie Scheffler and Jordan Spieth are among the hometown heroes in the Lone Star state, with Spieth seeking to complete the career Grand Slam and win his fourth major championship.

Scheffler won the 2025 PGA Championship at Quail Hollow with a dominant performance, holding off Jon Rahm in the final round to win his third major title.

Aaron Rai claimed the Wanamaker trophy in 2026, with the major held at Aronimink Golf Club in Philadelphia. He stunned the field by taking a three-shot victory, with Rahm again in contention. The Englishman holed from 69 feet on the 17th hole to all but secure the win, his first major title.

A unique part of the PGA Championship is that PGA Professionals can qualify for the event in a tournament that acts as a tailor-made pathway. Michael Block was one man to take advantage of this pathway in 2023 when he rose to stardom, making a hole-in-one while playing with Rory McIlroy at Oak Hill. He qualified again in 2025 through the PGA Professionals Championship.

Below, we have the PGA Championship field for 2027, which is updated each week when new entrants earn a spot. It might look a little light at the moment, with some key players missing, but much of the qualification criteria hasn’t come into play just yet.

2026 PGA Championship field

While most of the exemption categories, at least those based on form, haven’t been filled out yet, a significant portion of the field have already booked their place in the Lone Star State. We have listed the full field so far, and will continue to update it as we approach the major next May.
