2024 AIG Women’s Open tee times: Round 1 groups
The tee times for the first round of the AIG Women’s Open are out, but who are the big groups to follow?
The final major of the year is here and it couldn’t be a more fitting venue. The Old Course at St Andrews hosts the AIG Women’s Open and there are some blockbuster groups to look forward to in Thursday’s opening round.
Can Nelly Korda cap a sensational year by grabbing her second major of 2024 at the Home of Golf, or can the Great Britain and Irish contingent including the likes of Charley Hull, Georgia Hall, and Annabell Fuller make it a home grown victory?
In the morning wave, Lexi Thompson gets her final major championship under way off the 10th tee in the company of Minjee Lee and Gemma Dryburgh (7.44am), while amateur Lottie Woad also starts on the back nine with Jennifer Kupcho and Emily Pedersen (8.06am).
Celine Boutier, Olympic gold medallist Lydia Ko and Ally Ewing (12.26pm) make up an eye-catching afternoon group from the 1st along with Yuka Saso, Megan Khang and Alison Lee (1.21pm).
And, 10 minutes earlier, the crowds are bound to be out in force to follow defending champion Lilia Vu, Korda and Hull (1.10pm).

Steve Carroll
A journalist for 25 years, Steve has been immersed in club golf for almost as long. A former club captain, he has passed the Level 3 Rules of Golf exam with distinction having attended the R&A's prestigious Tournament Administrators and Referees Seminar.
Steve has officiated at a host of high-profile tournaments, including Open Regional Qualifying, PGA Fourball Championship, English Men's Senior Amateur, and the North of England Amateur Championship. In 2023, he made his international debut as part of the team that refereed England vs Switzerland U16 girls.
A part of NCG's Top 100s panel, Steve has a particular love of links golf and is frantically trying to restore his single-figure handicap. He currently floats at around 11.
Steve plays at Close House, in Newcastle, and York GC, where he is a member of the club's matches and competitions committee and referees the annual 36-hole scratch York Rose Bowl.
Having studied history at Newcastle University, he became a journalist having passed his NTCJ exams at Darlington College of Technology.
