NCG had the immense privilege of being at the centre of Sergio Garcia’s West Lancs-agne Gate during Final Open Qualifying.
The fiery Spaniard claimed to feel like vomiting after scoffing down this most famous Italian dish – a dish NCG’S Matt Chivers thoroughly enjoyed tucking into.
With this in mind, we decided to take a humorous look at the dishes and drinks cleverly (we say) named after golf’s biggest stars.
Golf is a serious sport, of course, even where the more irritable players like Garcia are involved. But once in a while, there is space for some banter.
At NCG, we used our imagination and created fun with golf players’ names. After all, we’d all enjoy a Fleetwood-fired pizza, wouldn’t we? Or lovely Hennie Ris-Otto, and a tasty bit of Mackerelroy?
While these stars have earned our respect and recognition through hard work, we have decided to park their talent and turn their names into concepts that will make you feverishly hungry.
Whether it’s a classic breakfast plate or something more continental, a surprising number of top stars sound as though they belong on a shopping list.

Here we go then – our pro golfer’s menu served by the Michelin-starred Scottie Cheffler and Ian Baker-Finch:
