Brian Harman is a long-time professional on the PGA Tour, with wins spanning almost a decade. He claimed his first major title in 2023 at the Open Championship.
He turned professional in 2009 after graduating from the University of Georgia with a finance degree. Whilst he was there, he won two collegiate events, and featured on the winning Walker Cup team twice. When he was picked for the 2005 American side, Harman was the youngest player to ever play in the amateur competition.
His first win as a pro came on the eGolf Professional Tour, winning the Manor Classic. He would have to wait four years before he grabbed a first win on the PGA Tour. That came at the John Deere Classic in 2014, where he beat out Zach Johnson by a single stroke. He also has wins at the Wells Fargo Championship and the QBE Shootout, with his most recent in coming at the Valero Texas Open in 2025.
Harman’s biggest win to date came in July 2023. After two rounds of the Open Championship at Royal Liverpool, the Georgia man led by five. It was a lead he would never relinquish, romping home to a comfortable victory in the rain on Sunday afternoon. It was his first major title, and it all but guaranteed him a place at the Ryder Cup for the first time in his career.
