Alfred Dunhill Links Championship tee times: Day three pairings

The Alfred Dunhill Links Championship is a special tournament that visits three of the best golf courses on the planet.

The professional competition is played across the Old Course at St Andrews, Carnoustie and Kingsbarns.

The professionals play for the trophy as per every tour event in the world. 168 players are paired with 168 amateurs in the pro-am portion of the event, so this always brings out some interesting performances from celebrities and family members.

Rory McIlroy, Brooks Koepka, Patrick Reed, Tommy Fleetwood, Shane Lowry, Tyrrell Hatton, Bob MacIntyre, Jon Rahm and defending champion Matt Fitzpatrick are all playing. Last year, Matt Fitzpatrick also won the team event alongside his mother Susan.

The likes of Gareth Bale, Ruud Gullit, Kevin Pietersen, Bill Murray and Piers Morgan are in the pro-am, as are Public Investment Fund governor Yasir Al-Rumayyan and PGA Tour commissioner Jay Monahan.

We are coming towards the end of the DP World Tour season and while some of the world’s best players are in the field, it is an important time for these DP World Tour members hunting spots in the DP World Tour Playoffs. The better they play, the more chance they have of keeping their memberships and reaching the season finale.

After this week is done, we have just three more events before the DP World Tour Playoffs begin at the Abu Dhabi HSBC Championship at Yas Links which begins on November 7.

The top 70 players in the Race to Dubai rankings get into that event, with the top 50 thereafter heading to the DP World Tour Championship the following week at the Earth Course at Jumeirah Golf Estates.
