What’s new? How much do they cost? How do they perform? Nicola Slater brings you the low down on the Adidas Adizero ZG Women’s Golf Shoes
The Adidas Adizero golf shoes have returned after a decade away. A popular range of golf shoe that Adidas are bringing back to the spotlight with the introduction of the Adidas Adizero ZG golf shoe. We took them out on the course to see how they performed…
Adidas have waited 10 years to release a new pair of Adizero golf shoes and they don’t disappoint.
Out of the box they felt a little tight but having wandered round 18 holes the foam moulded nicely to my feet. I did go up half a size on my regular sizing. Overall, they were very comfortable and I will certainly be wearing them again.
During my round I did get rained on several times but this wasn’t an issue for the Adizero shoes as my feet remained bone dry.
These shoes are very lightweight and to say they have a spikeless sole, they were very grippy.
Adidas Adizero ZG Women’s Golf Shoes Review: First Impressions
When I was younger Adizero golf shoes were something of my staple golf shoe. I remember having more than one pair of Adidas golf shoes and so ten years on it’s nice to get my hands on the latest model.
Out of the box, these shoes had the classic Adidas shaping and of course great styling. I liked that the main part of the shoe was white and then there is a nice pink/red gradient to add some colour at the back. They’re also very lightweight to hold.
These are a spikeless pair of golf shoes with a rather grippy looking sole. The teeth like nibs on the bottom certainly look like they won’t budge during a swing, but that will be tested on the course…
NCG Verdict
First putting these on my feet I had a moment of panic, they don’t fit.
Having wandered about the room for a couple of minutes I warmed to the idea that they do in fact fit. With that in mind, I was off out on the course to put them to the test.
For context I’m a UK 7.5 in most shoes that we test but I am aware that Adidas can run half a size smaller and so these shoes are a UK 8.
I could tell from first putting these on my feet they were packed with foam. This is the Lightstrike foam cushioning, which is shaped to help the foot sit comfortably in the shoe and help with stability.
Having walked around 18 holes in these shoes I do believe that they are the correct size and were very comfortable! Not once did I feel any discomfort and it wasn’t a relief to take them off my feet at the end. I did genuinely enjoy wearing them.

Whilst out playing, I did get rained on several times. Some of the showers were heavier than others but all in all the Adizero’s kept my feet nice and dry. Adidas has designed these shoes with a Waterproof Sprintskin synthetic upper, so they can be worn in all conditions.
Being in the UK right now, I tested these shoes out on a course than had a fair but of mud. To say they are spikeless golf shoes I was very impressed with the amount of stability and traction that the rubber nibs provided. This wasn’t just when walking around the course but also during my shots I never slipped or felt close to slipping at all.
Adidas have added their SPIKEMORE outsole, that is asp designed to be lighter than previous models.
Having encountered the muddy conditions I needed to clean these shoes up post round. The synthetic leather upper made it very easy to wipe clean and so they’re back to looking as fresh as they did when I teed off.
It also can’t go unmentioned that Adidas has worked hard to make the production of these shoes more ethical. They are made from a blend of recycled and renewable materials, with shoes containing at least 20% of these materials.
Overall, I really enjoyed wearing the new Adizero ZG golf shoes. After my initial sizing concerns they moulded to my feet nicely. Having walked 18 holes these were very comfortable and I look forward to wearing these shoes more throughout the season.
