The matte black finish isn’t just a looker. It serves a practical purpose as well. I found glare to be virtually non-existent, allowing for clearer vision during putts, particularly in bright conditions. However, the finish does seem somewhat prone to marking, especially on the back of the putter head. Although this is a fairly minor issue.

Alignment Aid

I think one of the standout features of the FX-03 is its white alignment aid. Contrasted against the black head, the alignment line is easy to pick out, providing a strong visual cue that makes setting up putts straightforward.

Short putts are a particular strength of this mallet, with the alignment aid proving invaluable in maintaining accuracy. Longer putts, however, were slightly more challenging during my testing, with distance control feeling less solid.
