FootJoy Pro SL Sport golf shoes review: First Impressions
How good is this colourway?! I love the bright pink around the sole and the block sections of different colours.
Although these have a typical Pro SL shape, the styling and materiality have their own twist. This is the only model in the Pro SL family that doesn’t have a leather upper. Instead, FootJoy has used a performance mesh material which I think offers a really nice textural quality.
Overall these look much more sporty than the rest of the range and the use of patterning and colour make these feel like they suit a younger audience.

FootJoy Pro SL Sport golf shoes review: On The Course
As usual, I got these in a UK size 6 and the fit was perfect. Straight off the bat, these were an extremely comfortable pair of golf shoes. The stratofoam midsole cushioning feels really soft underfoot and I actually found the collar around the heel and ankle felt thicker and more cushioned in this model.
I really like the fact these have a wider sole base as lots of shoes, especially women’s models, can be too narrow and don’t give you a secure base to swing from.
If you’re worried about waterproofing then stress no more. The performance mesh is covered with an ultra-thin TPU hotmelt which makes these shoes 100% waterproof.

You can see these have the same Proprietary FTF outsole as the rest of the FootJoy Pro SL family. To say this is a spikeless golf shoe the grip is outstanding. I feel just as stable in these as I do wearing a spiked pair of shoes.
One significant advantage of the mesh upper is that, so far, it hasn’t creased anywhere near as much as leather golf shoes often do. This just means your shoes look fresher for longer. It is also just as easy to wipe clean as the chromoskin leather we see in the standard Pro SL model.
This model comes in two different colour options for both men and women so you can pick something that suits your style.

My only criticism here would be the pink piping around the sole has worn away fairly quickly on the front of the toe which is slightly annoying.
FootJoy Pro SL Sport golf shoes review: The 19th hole
Although these are more casual and sporty than some shoes in the FootJoy range, they are still very much a classic golf shoe and not something I would be using off the golf course.
Having said that, the depth of the grip on the sole is fairly thin meaning it is much more comfortable to wear on smooth indoor surfaces than most golf shoes.
