NCG SUMMARY

The Precision Pro range offers four high-quality golf rangefinders, from the affordable NX9 to the feature-packed Titan Elite, each built for speed, accuracy, and durability.

As you move up the range, you get added features like customisation, enhanced build quality, and advanced GPS functionality.

Overall, these rangefinders provide excellent performance across all price points, with no notable drawbacks.

PROS

  • Impressive clarity and speed
  • Build quality
  • Innovation through the range

CONS

Hard to pick one! If anything, if you have a budget you might feel you have to rethink about increasing it to the next model.

First Impressions

When the Precision Pro range arrived I couldn’t help but be impressed. The packaging was excellent and as soon as I began unboxing the four rangefinders it was clear that the build quality was excellent. The entry point NX9 is £199, with the all singing, all dancing Titan Elite coming in at £399. In between these two are the NX10 and Titan Slope. The question is, do you get the extra bang for your buck as you move through the range?

On-course testing

All of the rangefinders come with well-designed carry cases that can clip directly on to your bag and for those that use buggies, the entire range come with a magnetic connection.

NX9 Slope

The NX9 Slope has a great, ergonomic design that fits well in your hand. You can easily switch between slope mode, making it suitable for tournament use.

As a user of rangefinders for a number of years the main thing that I noticed straight away is how quickly it locks on to the target. The responsiveness is very impressive and the screen clarity is superb.

Precision Pro Golf Rangefinders review

The NX9 is a fantastic base model that delivers everything you would want from a rangefinder.

NX10 Slope

The NX10 is pretty much the same design but it gives you the ability to customise the case. Like the NX9, it is powered by a traditional battery.  Looking on line, there are a number of customisable skins available for around £6.99, so if you value your individuality, the extra £50 for the NX10 might be worth it.

Titan Slope

Moving up the range you see a real step change in the build quality with the Titan Slope. It is described as unbreakable, with a full aluminium shell. It feels incredibly robust and claims that it is fully waterproof, giving you peace of mind in challenging conditions. The other difference from the entry models is that it has a rechargeable battery, using a USB-C. Once fully charged, it lasts up to 40 rounds.

Precision Pro Golf Rangefinders review

The Titan retails at £299 but that gives you an indestructible rangefinder that still performs at the highest level. If you value build quality, the extra £100 is a good investment.

Titan Elite

Top of the range is the Titan Elite. At £399 it has the same build as the Titan but incorporates GPS yardages via the compatible app. This is a fantastic piece of kit but takes a little longer to get the hang of. The app is very straight forward and gives you the ability to score your round and see hole by hole maps and flyovers. Where it really impresses is when you go to lock on to your target. Not only does it show you the distance to the pin but it also displays the distances to the front, centre and back of the green. Really useful information!

A slight word of warning regarding the distances is that it uses your phone to get these and so if you have left that in your bag and walk to the tee, you lose the accuracy with the separation.

The app can get into real detail as it learns your game and can even give you personalised distances based on your ball flight. A fantastic detail for improving the knowledge of your game.

Finally, should you misplace your rangefinder on the course you can use the app to find it. It really is the all singing and dancing rangefinder!
