As temperatures drop we’re all starting to thumb through the winter gear in our pro shop to see what we like. So here’s a quick rundown of the best golf jackets available to buy right now. Note these aren’t waterproofs – that’s a whole separate list coming soon – we’re just talking nice cosy casual jackets here…
Best golf jackets: Ping

Little details such as matching colours on the zip and embroidery really pull the Ping Norse S2 Zoned together and make it stand out. But the real showstopper is that metallic like light blue panelling across the chest. Perfect if you’re after something lightweight but warm.
Alex Perry has had this jacket in play: “The No 1 thing for me in a jacket, like most golfers, is comfort and warmth without compromising the swing.
“This ticks all three boxes. A lovely touch from Ping, whose apparel range gets stronger every year.”

As for me, I’m having a bit of a pink phase at the moment so the Ping Oslo II Primaloft really stood out to me.
The insulating properties make this one of the warmest jackets I own. Not only do I love the pops of pink and navy but it is also extremely comfortable and easy to swing in. Perfect for getting out on the course in winter.
