Skechers have launched their new GO GOLF range – here we review the traditional/sneaker style of the Tempo GF model

The 2025 Skechers GO GOLF® shoes are designed to be comfortable, stylish, and high-performance for both men and women. Some models include all or some of the new features – like easy Slip-In technology, lightweight cushioning made with recycled materials, grip-enhancing outsoles, and removable arch supports for all-day comfort. These shoes are the most advanced golf shoes Skechers has created so far. In this Skechers GO GOLF Tempo GF golf shoe review we will put to the test the traditional sneaker type model to see if they deliver on comfort and style.

Skechers GO GOLF Tempo GF Golf Shoe Review: NCG Summary

4.5 star review
NCG SUMMARY

I wasn’t familiar with Skechers before, but after trying the GO Golf Temp GF shoes, I was impressed by their look, feel, and lightweight design. They provided excellent comfort, fit well even for wider feet, and offered good grip and stability on the course.

Overall, these shoes are a comfortable blend of traditional golf style and modern trainers, making them a great choice for both performance and casual wear.

PROS

  • Comfort straight out of the box
  • Lightweight with stable grip
  • Great range of colours available

CONS

  • Conservative looks

First Impressions

Skechers are not a shoe brand that has ever been on my radar but I was intrigued to see how they performed and looked on the course. If they’re good enough for England Captain, Harry Kane, they’re certainly good enough for me.

Upon opening the box I was surprised by how good they looked and felt and how lightweight they were. I couldn’t wait to try them out on my next round.

On Course Testing

I’ve always found golf shoes are generally chosen by brand over comfort and traction. A great golf shoe should give you stability but leave a spring in your step walking up the 18th fairway. The Sketchers GO Golf Temp GF didn’t disappoint in this area.

From the moment I put the shoes on they were unbelievably comfortable and I had no issues regarding tightness or rubbing. I am a size 10 with slightly wider feet and these were a true fit that moulded to my feet instantly.

The shoes I tested were White / Navy but they have 4 other colour options, including Navy, Grey and Black editions.

The spikeless design has fantastic grip and stability and I didn’t find any slippage when playing shots.

With the lack of rain recently I wasn’t able to test the waterproof claims but I did dangle my foot in a stream as I collected a ball and can confirm that my foot stayed dry, even though my ball wasn’t! Either way, there is a one year waterproof warranty if there is an issue within the first year of wearing them.

As I walked up the final hole it was like I had been wearing my favourite trainers for the walk. The Skechers have a great feel about them and are some of the most comfortable shoes I’ve ever worn.

Final verdict

The GO Golf Tempo GF is a great shoe. I would say it is a hybrid between a traditional golf shoe style and the more modern, trainer styles that are around. If all you care about is comfort and performance then you can’t go wrong with these. They are at an attractive price point and don’t look out of place in the spike bar post round.
